Negative: No upfront instructions on how to turn on instant hot water device. A fuse blew when the space heater and e-kettle were on. Could not see in house for our very early departure .

Positive: Lovely cottage with a pleasant garden in the back. Very clean.
Negative: There was no heat! The temperature was 48 F when we woke up in the morning. We were not able to start the water heater, despite repeated efforts. The accommodation felt very impersonal. A nice touch would be some information about the area, a welcome note with a bottle of wine- something! It would help to include directions to the Camino de Santiago, for pilgrims like us.
Summary: A fair experience that with a few improvements could be superb.

Positive: The cottage is charming, spacious, well kept.
Negative: Not suitable for pilgrims on a Sunday. You have to carry food and drinks in your back pack from Barcelos, because there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the cottage (other than matches and salt) and no shop or restaurants open.

Negative: Had a hard time getting hot water turned on, it was complicated. Property is not on the Camino, just so you know. A kilometer or so off.

Positive: This little place was a perfect stop for us on the Camino. There is nothing around except a shop a few hundred metres up the road where you can get supplies to cook with but it is a small shop so it will be basic meals but there are fresh veggies as well so its really all you need. The house is cute but right on the road so it took some time to get used to the whooshing sound of cars coming past every now and then. Check in was easy and for a one night stay along the camino it is perfect.
Negative: I would suggest to the owner to include a Kettle to make tea or coffee and to perhaps look at getting the mattresses upgraded.
