The Country Chalet, a year round vacation home in the heart of Northern Door County. This is a spacious 3 bedroom home nestled in a hilly, wooded setting. Tranquil and secluded just minutes south of the center of Fish Creek where you can enjoy the beach, summer stock theater, and Founders Square restaurants and shops. And don't forget the Door County Trolley that provides themed tours of the best of Door County. Peninsula State Parks main entrance is also located in Fish Creek where you can find miles of hiking, biking, cross country ski and snowmobile trails. In addition, for those who love to golf, there are several golf courses within minutes of the Chalet.
Inside the Chalet, you’ll find 1700 square feet of space to relax and play. Perfect for a family get togethers, ladies weekends, couples or a cozy hideaway for smaller parties.
The Great Room is cozy with a small couch, large chair and recliner for sitting by the natural fireplace, listening to music or watching TV on our 50" Smart TV. There is also a DVD player and small collection of DVD's to watch or if you have your own to play for rainy day entertainment. For the family that likes to play games there is a collection of games & puzzles to use.
The second story loft overlooks the great room and displays a panoramic view of the woods. It contains a private master bedroom suite including a King bed and it's own full bath and an open study area ideally suited for reading or computer time.
Downstairs you’ll find two sizable bedrooms with Queen beds and large shared bath. The adjacent laundry room is equipped with washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests who like to cook with lots of extras and provides a microwave and dishwasher for quick snacks and quicker cleanup. For the master chef there is propane grill with propane and charcoal grill that can be wheeled out to the driveway for cooking. The dining area leads to a deck overlooking the woods and fire pit for those who might enjoy sitting around the campfire. A perfect spot to enjoy watching the colorful birds, wild turkeys, deer and other wildlife who call Gibraltar Bluff their home.
For your added comfort the house has central air conditioning and an attached two car garage for quick loading and unloading. Summary: This was our first time in Door County and we were unsure of where to stay. Just outside of Fish Creek was perfect. It is central to everything and exactly what we wanted. The house was clean and very well stocked. We appreciated things that most places don't have which prevented mutilple store trips.We definitely would stay here again in the future.

Summary: House tucked away in a great location in Door County. Great yard, saw turkey and deer. Clean. Had all basic amenities. King bed is located in a room up several stairs. Nice to have a King bed!! We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We enjoyed the quiet wooded house , great location and yard for dogs to play as we enjoyed a campfire! Kitchen had most everything except a sheet pan. Good setup for a family of 6.Grilling options were nice. Reasonably priced, we would definitely hear again!again!

Summary: The house and property were lovely. We toured Door County by day and sat around the firepit at night, laughing and catching up with one another. We had our coffee on the deck each morning watching the wildlife, especially 3 deer who came to visit. It was great. Unfortunately, as the last two of us left the house on Sunday, we discovered the stationary tub had overflowed. We had not used it, or even noticed it, but someone (cleaning staff?) had apparently left the stopper in the drain, and the water softener drained into it for some 60 hours before overflowing. I notified Marla who asked us to drape the runner rug over the stair railing in the garage. We did that and mopped up the area as best we could before leaving. Except for that, our visit was wonderful, and I'd stay there again. I'd check the stationary tub, though...

Summary: Everything was as advertised. There were a couple of minor issues, however. When we arrived the garage door code I was given didn’t work. A call to the property owner fixed that. Also, one of the queen beds on the first floor didn’t have any sheets on it. We found a set in the hall closet and put them on. The other queen bed on the first floor had king size sheets on it. A little uncomfortable but not bad. Overall we liked the space and enjoy our stay.

Summary: The Chalet was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in our many visits to Door County. We loved the decor. The Mary Kay products were a nice touch. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and s’mores at the fire pit. The deer and wildlife surround you in this private quiet wooded area. The master bedroom en-suite bathroom and loft area was great. The hosts were quick to respond to all of our questions. We hope to come back again!

Summary: We loved the property. It was great having the quiet of the woods behind us but also being close to the amenities of Fish Creek. This was the best stocked property I have been to - plenty of things like oils, spices, coffee filters, sugar etc. for cooking. Well done!
