Summary: Elizabeth and Pierre were brilliant hosts. The gite is very well equipped as a perfect home from home for families, with everything you need for cooking, relaxing and exploring the local area. We particularly enjoyed spending time with the kids on the beach at Wisant.

Summary: Lovely property with great access to the coast around Les 2 Caps plus villages, countryside. The property itself is very comfortable and well-equipped and the reception by Pierre and Elisabeth very warm and informative. Highly recommended.

Summary: Pierre and Elizabeth were very welcoming and the arrival pack was the best we have ever had in our many trips to France. The gite had everything, modern kitchen and bathroom fixtures and fittings and the setting in their garden was wonderful. The rural location, and being close to the coast was perfect for us we would recommend this holiday gite to everyone we know, particularly suited to people that enjoy walking or cycling

Summary: Le Clos Du Puits is a lovely gite only 20 minutes from the Calais ferry port (10 from the tunnel!) but it feels like it is in the heart of the country. Elisabeth and Pierre are charming, friendly hosts who have made sure the gite has everything you might need, we particularly appreciated the welcome pack with local beer, bread, chocolate, homemade jam and fresh eggs from their own chickens. Both bedrooms are roomy and the kitchen is large and very modern. The gite is next to their own house but they make it clear that you are to make yourself at home and it felt very private - we had the use of their enormous garden, including a secluded dining area screened by plants. It was lovely to relax with a book on the comfy deckchairs and my sons enjoyed feeding their sheep that live in a field behind the house. Nearby pretty village Wissant has a lovely sandy beach, wth dunes and my husband enjoyed cycling the area (returning with bread and pastries from the nearby boulangerie). Being so close to the A16 means it’s also a good base to visit other towns; we enjoyed trips to Le Touquet and (about 75 minutes drive) the beautiful city of Lille. I imagine the Opal Coast area is often overlooked for being too close to Calais but has beautiful beaches and pretty towns, we will definitely return again! Thank you to Elisabeth and Pierre, you work very hard to make this gite perfect and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Summary: Thanks for a great week! The property is located in a lovely peaceful village, and is very well equipped. The grounds are brilliant, lots of space for our daughter to run around in, and even a few animals to see. Pierre and Elizabeth were excellent hosts. Very much recommended, we hope to return!

Summary: Our second visit to this pretty gîte and once again we were not disappointed. Elisabeth and Pierre are wonderful hosts and couldn't have been nicer. The gîte itself is very pretty, modern and with a fantastic kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The garden is huge and beautifully maintained. The gîte is in a beautiful location in Hervelinghen about 3km from the amazing beaches at Wissant. We would not hesitate to recommend the gîte and will definitely return again soon. Encore merci Elisabeth et Pierre et à bientôt!
