September and October Weekends have just been made available! Ten-minute walk(sidewalks the whole way)along the lake to downtown Meredith. Perfect spot for 3 to 4 people to stay for a weekend wedding at Church Landing or the surrounding area. Well-maintained--and clean--private country house with a large yard. You will have the house and the yard to yourself(not a multi-family or guesthouse). Perfect spot to enjoy a weekend in New Hampshire!
The space: One bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed(purchased within the last six months) and room darkening blinds for a pleasant sleep experience. The bedroom is on the first floor. Summary: We absolutely loved staying in this house. It was ideal for our needs, being myself and husband and adult son. We loved the layout of the house, both rooms had plenty of space(particularly the upstairs one with 2 beds) although the stairs up to the bedroom were quite steep. The area was very quiet so making it easy to sleep at night. I'd have liked a kettle to make tea as there was only a coffee machine but we Brits love our tea! There was ample space for relaxing in the evening and a good size dining area and bathroom. We made use of the outside area to sit and read in the sunshine and a lovely 20 minute downhill walk took us into the stunning lakeside town with all of its amenities. The only minor downside was that the listing appeared to suggest that there were 2 bathrooms in the property, which was one reason we chose it, but there was only the one. I think maybe there was another one upstairs but that room was labelled as private and not for use. Would definitely stay here again..
