Summary: Thanks you so much to our hosts Jacquie & Brett for providing us the most wonderful, restful, and enchanting Tasmanian Country experience. When arriving at the sandstone Historic Stuartfield Cottage we truly felt like we had stepped back in time, however it also had all the modern amenities to make the stay relaxing & effortless. The cottage was spotless, well provisioned, had everything we needed, was private, quiet, and cosy. There was attention to small details everywhere, and very thoughtful inclusions. We could not make any suggestions for an improved experience, it was perfect. The location is both private and quiet but also an easy drive to all the great nearby Historic Towns and wonderful Tassie Experiences. We also loved being able to feed and make friends with the resident friendly sheep "Fred" and the two gentle llamas Katie & Candy. At the end of our stay Farmer Brett even offered for us to see a real country sheep shearing operation at a nearby farm which gave a true taste of farm life. Overall our stay was wonderful and enchanting and we are already looking at when we can return to stay again. Thanks again Jacquie & Brett for opening up your wonderful Historic Cottage to us and others to share and experience.

Summary: We loved our stay at Stuartfield House. All our needs were considered in every detail. The cottage was well appointed for our group of seven. We had fires at night and evening meals in the country kitchen. The garden was absolutely beautiful.

Summary: We could not recommend this place more highly. 5 stars just isn’t enough. Jacquie and Brett went over and above - providing a fresh Christmas tree for the kids to decorate to the fresh loaf of bread and cookies. They also decorated the house with Christmas items for us. Thanks Jacquie and Brett. You made our Christmas in Tassie 😀

Summary: We loved this home. Best one we stayed at for beauty, comfort and supplies provided. However it is off the beaten track on a dirt road so we found it long to drive to day trips. If you want a get away from it all, this is the place for you!

Summary: This cottage is amazing. The photos don't do it justice. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're home. We arrived on a cold night and Jacquie and Brett already had the fire lit and all the lights on. The cottage is immaculate and very clean. Jacquie has it stocked with everything including homemade bread and butter. We got Married here and it was perfect. Jacquie and Brett made us feel very welcomed and even stopped by that morning to see if there was anything they could do a help make it better. To say Jacquie and Brett went over and above is an understatement. We have now stayed at another place in Tasmania and all we want to do is head back to the cottage. We will be back.

Summary: The most generous host n supplies ever encountered in our travels! Beautiful home in divine quiet setting, only 20min to historic Oatlands (w groceries, chemist, pubs n cafes). Not that you need to leave the house!! Jacquie has thought of everything, from bacon n eggs, to cereals, fresh bread n condiments n even bubbly!! Fireplace gorgeous n kindly roaring pre arrival thanks to Jacquie. Wonderful heating in other living areas too, which all shifts up to beautiful bedrooms. Also upstairs delicious bathroom w heating, lovely soaps n lotion, and fresh greenery. History of home in Jacqiue.s husbands family is warmly reflected and the pride she/they take in sharing it is deserved. Wish we could have stayed longer... Thx sooooo much Jacquie n family Congratulations

Summary: Perfect house for our family. Jacquie was incredibly kind and generous with all the wonderful things waiting for us in the house -- butter, milk, fresh bread, so much more. Do be aware that the bedrooms are not heated (though they do have electric bed pads). This wasn't an issue for us once we adjusted.

Summary: This property is a heritage listed 1880s home that has been lovingly restored with everything one could possibly need. The pantry is stocked with every convenience, the bedrooms with beautiful period furniture and an fire raging on arrival. Jacquie also baked bread and complimentary wine and slippers wrre available on arrival. The gardens as beautifully tended as the home. The history of the home displayed at the property and beautiful family photos also displayed tell the story of this beautiful home. The owners should be so proud of this property it is just amazing.
