The Cortijo Chaparro (Oak tree Farmhouse ) is situated in a tranquil setting surrounded by Olive, Almond and hundred year old Oak trees.
It is home to your hosts Sally and Steve, who moved to the Cortijo in 2015 on completion of a large renovation project.
The holiday home was reformed to a high standard in 2014/2015. It provides a modern holiday home, while still retaining its original rustic charm and making the most of the breath-taking panoramic views across the valley and mountains. Stunning sunsets and star gazing from the terraces.
The Cortijo has Two double en-suite bedrooms on the first floor
( Bedrooms can be changed to twins on request.)
One double bedroom on the ground floor, with another bathroom.
The modern fully fitted kitchen has electric hob, Microwave oven and Fridge.
Living room has television, DVD player and a lending library of books, DVD's and games. A patio door in the living room opens onto a private outside patio area with stunning views of the pool and valley.

BBQ and pizza oven, Tiki Bar area and fire table to use to make the most of outside living.
The property has various sunny and shady areas seating areas including a sandy terrace, poolside terrace, pretty courtyard and water feature with seating to make the most of the sunset views.
The Cortijo is only 2 kms from the local village and a short drive to the town of Iznajar with its stunning views of the lake and access to a beach area with sunloungers and bars.
It is a perfect setting for touring all the amazing cities and tourist spots of Andalucia,
or you can just relax and soak up the sun and life of real Spain.

Summary: Sally and Steve provide a wonderful house with amazing views and great facilities. The hosts thoughtfully left supplies to ensure we had food for the first night, and provided lots of local information. Highly recommended for an escape.

Summary: We’ve had a wonderful stay at Steve and Sally’s place. Perfect located between the mountains with a beautiful sunset every night. Great cooking and grilling options, lovely pool and outdoor areas. A perfect get away!

Summary: Had a wonderful stay Sally and Steve made us very welcome and were very helpful with information of where to visit and eat . The villa was clean and had everything you could need inside and out with two BBQs gas and wood burning we used both as well as the pool and hot tub the views are amazing and the view of the stars at night is something else. I would certainly recommend it but you do need a car.

Summary: Steve and Sally were great hosts, happy to give you local advice and point you in the right direction if you wanted to do anything while also leaving you to relax as a family too. Kids loved the swimming pool and hot tub as well as the dvds on offer inside when they got a bit too hot. Breathtaking views over the mountain ranges from the pool when you walk out each morning. Couldn’t fault the place or the owners at all and will be going back as a family next year. Perfect for a peaceful, fun family break but plenty on offer if you are willing to drive also

Summary: We stayed here for a week with 3 of our children aged 8,14,15. We all had the best holiday in years. Pool, WiFi and honesty fridge was all the children could have needed and to be honest because they were happy we were happy! Sally and Steve were fantastic hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

Summary: Beautiful views, totally peaceful and relaxing holiday. The house is modern and spotlessly clean. Owners have thought of everything, welcome pack of food and drinks and the honesty bar/ ice creams were much appreciated and so helpful. The fire pit with a constant supply of wood and cosy blankets were all great for stargazing in the evenings. Cannot fault the accommodation, it was fantastic. A great place if you want a quiet, relaxing stay in the sunshine.

Summary: We are a family of 4 with 2 children aged 13 and 9. We would rate the property 6 starts out of 5 - it was fabulous! The accommodation is perfect and we loved the open bbq and pizza oven. We spent most of our time outside where there was always a sunny or shady spot depending upon your preference. The views were breathtaking - we have never seen anything so amazing. The pool is a great size - approx 12 by 10 feet - and we all loved it. We did wonder if we would use the hot tub given the heat but we used it ever day - a real treat. If it got really hot we enjoyed playing all of the games left in the property and also watched a few of the DVDs. Our hosts Sally and Steve were brilliant - they provided a very generous welcome pack and gave us loads of top tips for places to go, routes etc. We loved their 2 dogs - the kids wanted to bring them home! Their place is next door but they were so considerate and we had complete privacy - although the kids liked to see the dogs so they would let them come and visit. You need a car to visit the surrounding places of interest but the benefit of the location is the total peace and spectacular views. We've had the most amazing holiday and want to go back! Thanks Sally and Steve - and Fergus and Meg!
