Summary: The house is spacious and bright. The large in-ground swimming pool is excellent and well-maintained. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. It's a short drive to Germantown and nearby Tivoli, Red Hook, and Rhinebeck, and to Bard College with its Frank Gehry concert hall. Communication with the owner was easy, but neither VRBO nor the owner initially provided essential information about access, WiFi, or trash pick-up, so it was necessary to call -- not a big deal, but a check-in package with information would have been helpful. The host quickly provided information about local sights on request, though we are accustomed to having a list available at check-in. More kitchen utensils, and particularly glassware would have been useful to our large group. If there was an electric water heater/teapot, we missed it. On the whole, the house was excellent for our large group, which included a three-year-old.

Summary: This house was a perfect place to get away and relax. The pool was amazing. We loved the location of the house. It was close to Rhinebeck, Hudson and Red Hook. We would love to go back!!
