Located in a peaceful village, real countryside, less than 50 kms from Lisbon.
Each day in the morning and afternoon bakers sell fresh bread at your door and five days a week a fish seller brings every variety of fresh fish from Peniche; every Saturdays you can also buy vegetables and fruits from the region.
Ancient stone house completely renovated and tastefully decorated.
On the rear side of the house you have a terrace (100 square meters) with charcoal barbecue, wood table, chairs and sunshade, where you can enjoy much privacy.

Summary: We have to agree with other reviewers. A very spacious and well equipped cottage in a nice quiet location. A perfect base for exploring this area of Portugal. The owners - Lucia and Paulo - were very helpful and kindly left us a welcoming gift - much needed after our plane arrived without our suitcase!

Summary: We have visited Portugal on three occasions looking for good walking/hiking locations with good homely feeling accommodation. We hit the jackpot here. Firstly the owner, Lucia, we could not have wished for better. Excellent English, very warm and friendly welcome and even contact before our arrival was so helpful. The welcome gifts were a very nice touch and we felt so much at home. The cottage itself is outstanding and there is nothing that has not been thought of for the visitor. I have never stayed in such a well equipped property. The cottage is a credit to Lucia and her husband. As for the area, we wanted good long hikes and they were all on the doorstep or within a very short drive. All types of walk catered for, all marked routes from 3.5 hours to over 7 hours in beautiful terrain. We absolutely loved our week here and we will certainly return. Muito Obrigado Lucia
