Positive: Amazing property, stunning location, big rooms, nice design. A modern Manor right in the heart of the Cotswolds
Negative: The service experience was really poor and made the stay not worth the money AT ALL!! They staff was very slow as we always had to wait at least 45 minutes before getting any breakfast/drink/dinner. Unprepared/ unexperienced: I’ve been told the gym open at 7am I arrived at the location but it was closed since it opened at 8 apparently. Not attentive/reactive for example orders of our drinks were wrong (3 out of 4 drinks), we’ve been told we had to wait to place our order for breakfast because the kitchen had too many orders; lack of caring in simple client management. Before coming to the hotel I had sent 5 emails and made 3 calls to ask on few information and I’ve got back my reply 2 days before my stay and the information wasn’t even fully satisfying. One issue was connected with my passport so needed to be managed in a tamely manner but luckily I figured out an alternative way as the hotel didn’t support me. Morning buffet was really poor fruit was always missing and took time for refill. Menu at the restaurant was with limited choice and very structured which forced us to look for some other places. Being a such an amazing place and part of Experiemental Group, I was expecting a better consumer experience and I really suggest this gets fixed in the future.

Positive: Games room and pool / spa were wonderful.
Negative: The little luxuries were missing. No nibbles when having pre dinner drinks, no toiletries like cotton buds/shower caps. Our room was next to a noisy ventilation system so I wouldn’t stay again. Dinner was a high ticket price and wasn’t up to the high standard - steak overcooked for example.

Positive: The estate is beautiful and the design & decoration of the lobby, the bar and the restaurant are exquisite. The team is kind even if the service was not what we could expect for the price / night
Negative: The room does not worth the money at all. Super dark, no AC, small bathroom. They did not specify that we would be in another building that was not in the standard compared to the rest of the Estae. Also the team was super kind but the arrival no explaining at all how the hotel works, no presentation of the activities (no more slot available for spa / massage since it is also a private club and everything is full booked by external guests) or even proposal of activities in nearby villages etc it felt that we missed a part of the trip because they were not organized. Also very poor service by the pool, all towels from previous guests are left all day long with their drinks and rest of their meals which attract the wasps - I would not go again At the end, we just spent our days at another very cool place 20min away
