Welcome to Alpine Lakehouse Cabin on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille in Garfield Bay. Enjoy stunning views of the lake from a large deck, as well as sweeping views of the mountains. Minutes away from Odie’s grocery, Cap’ns table, boat launch and park with small beach. The perfect place to enjoy time with family and friends & pets are welcome. After a fun-filled day, craft meals in our fully stocked kitchen and relax on the spacious deck while enjoying the view!
The space-
The Alpine Lake House comfortably sleeps 6 with two bedrooms and 2 baths. Large master bedroom with in room bathroom. Bedroom 2 has two twin bunk beds with spectacular view of lake. With an open concept, guest can all enjoy each others company in the kitchen, living and dinning. A spacious deck overlooking the lake with patio furniture, hammock and gas BBQ (deck furniture is stored during winter). Kitchen is stocked with all basic cooking ware and utensils to cook for a family. Tv has Roku that you can sign into your accounts for streaming capabilities, with fast WiFi that supports multiple devices. Also, a few family games to play at the dining table. We are only 20 minutes from Sand point, 35 minutes from Schweitzer Ski Resort and 35 minutes from Silverwood Theme Park.
Guest access-
While staying here, the cabin will be your own private oasis. There is room to park 2 vehicles. In front of garage and side of garage. In the winter you will need 4 WD/AWD to drive through some snow. The house has key pad lock, for self entry with provided code.
Other things to note-
Cell reception is limited. The WiFi is very good, so we recommend using call or text over WiFi if cell phone allows. If not, we recommend using using a communication app like “what’s app” etc…

Summary: Great Location: easy walk to beaches, restaurant, general store, hiking, etc. Simple, Clean, quiet. My daughter loved the bunk beds. Nice deck with views of the lake. Value for money

Summary: We booked our first Vrbo experience as a weekend getaway for the family (4 kids ranging from 4-13 years old). We drove up Friday night and were able to get right in since we had already checked in online with the owner who provided us the key code for entry. Owners were very quick to respond. Getting to the house was relatively easy. A lot of backroads through rural Idaho. There is a fairly steep dirt road to get up to the lake house and we were skidding a little bit in our minivan on our first go up the road but we handled it better on subsequent attempts. The roads were dry and clear when we went but you would definitely want a more rugged vehicle if it were muddy or snowy. The house was great. It says it was established in 2021 and it does look like it's undergone some recent renovations. There were a few bits around the house that looked like they still needed some finishing but nothing major. Place was clean and cozy and had a lovely view of the lake. It's in a neighborhood of Sagle, Idaho near Garfield Bay. The house is not directly by the lake but was an easy 5 minutes walk to get to the beach area. However, at least in May, the lake is not really ideal for swimming. It was extremely cold even with a wetsuit and thermal swim cap on. Great for skipping rocks, though! We were able to wander around the area on some shorter hikes. It was quite nice. Again, a more rugged vehicle would be ideal for traveling some of the Forest Service roads. They have the place fairly well stocked with cooking supplies and the Wi-Fi was excellent. No cell service, just like they put in their listing, but that kind of added to the appeal of the place for me. Overall, a great little place to get away from it all.

Summary: Great place to get away, we stayed during the Arctic blast and overnight lows were in the negative degrees. They have 4 ligit heaters and all the appliances were new. Great place and good communication with host.
