This cozy basement apartment has lots of windows and light. It's perfect for travelers looking to crash somewhere comfy after a day of sightseeing, skiing, conference-going, or exploring all the wonders Portland has to offer.
There are two large bedrooms, a large eat-in living area, a bathroom, a small kitchenette, and a large backyard with a seating area. There is also basic tv, some books and games.
A couple of things to note- beware tall people! the ceilings are lower in the entryway due to an HVAC pipe; the kitchen is a kitchenette and includes: a small fridge, microwave, a hot plate with pots/pans, a coffee maker, an electric tea kettle, sink/dish drainer and all the necessary utensils/flatware/plates/bowls/cups etc. It does NOT include: a toaster, a stove or oven. So lighter cooking is most definitely possible, but don't plan to host a dinner party here :)
The space also includes access to the laundry (shared with long-term tenants).

Summary: My friend and I stayed here. Wifi was good, laundry was accessible. It’s a two bedroom basement suit in a character house. Safe and quiet neighbourhood, and there was a good assortment of restaurants and bars around too. We walked across to downtown daily and didn’t think much of it, but there’s also scooters to easily rent too to make it easier if you’re not into walking. An Uber downtown was about $10-20 depending on the time. Eva was easy to get ahold of and made our check-in very easy! We also rented a car and drove around the coast one day and would highly recommend it! I couldn’t believe how hot it was in the city for the end of September- so FYI if you’re not sure how the weather will be, these Canadians wore shorts and a T-shirt everyday. Coast was pretty nippy out though!

Summary: Cozy basement apartment! It was the perfect size for our group of 4. Central location was good and we were able to walk a lot. The space itself was well stocked with toiletries and kitchen utensils. There was a slight pet smell in the living room and you could definitely hear the tenants moving around upstairs but that would not deter me from staying there again! Definitely recommend to anyone.

Summary: The place itself is great. As others mentioned, the ceilings are low, but there is plenty of space. The place is right near major streets and is walkable to many restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, my car was broken into while parked outside of the property. I didn't have any valuables inside or anything showing on the seat. Whoever broke in just saw a nicer car and decided to try their luck. Other than that, the property was great!
