3 Bedroom House in Locke Lake Colony, Barnstead

Recently renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom A-frame home located in Center Barnstead, NH. Rental includes access to several amenities including lake, beaches, tennis courts, etc. Home is located less than a 2 minute walk from the lake and main beach. There is also access to neighboring Halfmoon Lake.
In addition to summer fun on the lake, this home is in a great location for fall leaf peeping, apple picking and hayrides with plenty of farms nearby. It is also just 25 minutes from Gunstock mountain making it a great getaway for winter ski trips and snow tubing. There are also several hiking (Mount Major - see picture of view from top), snowmobile, snowshoeing and cross country trails nearby. It is only 15 minutes from Lake Winnipesaukee and all it has to offer.
A little about the home…
This unique A-frame home offers 3 floors of living. The main level includes a full bath, primary bedroom with king sized bed, well equipped kitchen, living and dining room that open up to a second floor deck overlooking the mature yard area. There are also large windows that take the shape of the A-frame that bring in wonderful natural light.
The top floor is a loft area overlooking the main floor. Here you will find a full sized bed and closet. Though it is open to the main floor, it offers a lot of privacy and gets great light from the main floor windows and is cooled by a large ceiling fan.
The bottom floor is accessible via stairs from the main floor or through 2 sliders from the yard. It includes a large living space with a Smart TV that can log into several apps like Prime TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc. There is also a bedroom with queen bed and large closet, full bathroom and laundry room, which renters will have use of. Additionally there is a pull out couch/futon and full sized bed in this area.
There are 2 decks on this property. One is located off the main floor in the front of the house. The other is located in the back in between the house and the oversized garage that includes a large loft area as well. Renters have access to garage to store “toys” like snowmobiles, skis, canoes, kayaks, etc. Or even park their car to keep it out of the snow.
The yard is good sized and allows for yard games and outdoor fun. Several board games/indoor games can be found in the top 2 drawers of the table near the front deck doors.
**Pet policy** We allow up to 2 well behaved dogs of any size/breed for an additional $25 per dog per stay. If you plan to bring a dog please make sure add it to your reservation. We ask that the dog remains on leash whenever outside and that you cleanup after it out of respect for our neighbors. There are 2 dog bowls at the house should you need them.

Summary: Our family enjoyed a few days at this cozy home. Clean. Lots of room. Not as close to Weirs Beach as we wanted but it was pleasant. Weirs is about 35 mins away if you want a beach family setting . Groceries are around 10 mins away. AC was great to have.

Summary: The house had plenty of space for our family of 6. It was clean, the kitchen was nicely stocked that have everything we needed to make breakfast. We used the propane grill a few times. There were plenty of toilet paper and laundry detergent for us to use. The water pressure in the bathrooms were great! It was nice to sit on the patios enjoying the rain and breeze. However, there were a few things that could be improved. The bed in the down stair bedroom was not comfortable; there was a dip in the middle that made our nights sleepless. The shower curtains in the lower level was very short causing water to spill onto the floor. We had to dry it every time after using the shower. The bathroom door handle was loose, which we tighten. There isn't any curtains for the bedroom downstairs, which felt like we didnt have privacy. But despite all of that, it was still a pleasant stay.

Summary: Great location to be in the proximity of Laconia bike rally but able to end the day with a quiet night. The available garage parking puts this on my list of places I would stay again. Lots of room and full size beds for adults to sleep in.

Summary: This house is awesome, it is clean, has so many rooms and 2 full bathrooms. I went with friends and family and people had their own spaces. The location is great; close to everything, lakes, beaches, grocery stores, etc. The hosts were very responsive, and quick to reply. Their description is also very accurate. Would highly recommend it!

Summary: We decided to find a place where the kids could enjoy some of what NH had to offer. We enjoyed the relaxation, Gunstock Mountain and just going out and playing in the snow. Lots of room for everyone and the home was well equipped. I always enjoy when a vacation home can bring our family together for some play time, moments of togetherness and game nights. Thanks for sharing our space.

Summary: Matt and Lauren's place was well kept and the location was very convenient for us as we have a boat slip at Alton Bay Marina. Having the sheets and towels included was a plus and it was very hot so having the central air was amazing!

Summary: My family and I had a fantastic stay at Lauren and Matt's property. We were in the area for a family wedding at Dell-Lea Weddings & Events (15 min drive) and this property worked out so well. The house is a few houses down from the beautiful Locke Lake. The house was great; clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing. The home was dog-friendly and the wedding's ring-bearer (pup) was able to stay comfortably at the property as well. This home is about 30 min from Concord and very easy to get to. Most importantly, I want to give a huge shout out to our hosts, Lauren and Matt, who were more than accommodating to us when we had a minor issue. The mother-of-the-bride's car broke down at the home and we couldn't get a tow until after our check out time. What was a very stressful situation was made SO much easier by Lauren and Matt, who were helpful, understand and attentive to accommodate us. Highly recommend this property and these hosts!

Summary: Everything was perfect except there was no land local phone, and for 8 people there was only 2 toilet paper. In general, nice clean perfect location and nice owners. We enjoyed a lot.
