To begin your day, you will find complimentary coffee, farm-fresh eggs and bread in the kitchenette that are yours for the making while watching the sunrise.
In the evening, sit out on the expansive second story deck, overlooking a picturesque pasture, and sip on a glass of wine while grilling some of Seattle’s famous salmon or other fresh seafood to add an exclamation point of your day!
We do our best to give you an authentic experience; deer may meander by, an eagle or hawk may fly overhead or the chickens will make themselves known. This is the country and nature abounds.
The Barn House is approx. 1180 sq ft and has 2 bedrooms, both upstairs, one of which is a loft. Our living quarters are also on this 10-acre property that was once a working farm. We invite you to wander about and enjoy the grounds as much as we do. Your Barn House retreat is set apart by itself and private.
A/C and heat are not central. There is a portable A/C unit upstairs. Space heaters are in the family room, loft and master bedroom and sufficiently heat the house, however, for late fall to early spring reservations please note that a freeze/cold spell may affect the inside temperature.
Due to the open staircase, the Barn House is not suitable for children under 10.
Wood burning stove is non functional.

Summary: Although we didn’t get to spend a lot of time here in between running around for my daughters wedding it was a nice peaceful relaxing place to enjoy in the evening. We enjoyed watching the chickens in the morning and the rabbits run around the fields. It’s a little out of town so it’s super quiet and peaceful. The homemade blueberry muffins made from berries on the property and the farm fresh eggs and English muffins and bagels she leaves for you top it off. It’s nice to be able to have breakfast there and not have to eat out every morning as we were there for almost a week. Will definitely be back for another visit when we can enjoy the property and the relaxation a little more!

Summary: We chose the Red Barn home for it's excellent location to the Evergreen Raceway. However if u r looking 4 a place "to pause"..apeaceful retreat, this is the place. It is country inside & out. You can see Lisa's personal touch & attention to detail through out. Wake up to Englsh muffins & fresh eggs fm "the girls" & on r last evening we were treated to homemade fresh blueberry muffins.

Summary: The property is beautiful, and the host was fabulous. Lisa was so attentive to our every need and made special accommodations for our request for a practice space. We could relax and slept so well.

Summary: I truly enjoyed my time at North's Nest! Lisa was AWESOME to work with, she greeted me when I arrived which was nice to get to meet her. Other than that they were very respectful of my privacy for sure! The home is FUN! It is exactly as shown in pictures, with so many fun little pieces and knick knacks everywhere. The kitchen was adequate with a GREAT old barrel sink and a BBQ was provided along with a 2 burner cook plate. Lisa had farm fresh eggs in the fridge and I tell you, FRESH IS BETTER! The upstairs is super as well. The 4 poster bed room didn't get used much, but it had a great couch and additional seating area. The master bedroom with private deck was where I spent most of my time. The deck was so nice, with 2 big French like doors that opened to view their amazing property. The king bed in the master was so comfortable, the blanket is CRAZY soft and it was hard to get out of it each morning for sure! As I said their property is truly breathtaking, these folks obviously work their tails off keeping it in such amazing condition. If you need a peaceful stay, only minutes from town, with a great couple that truly values their guests...then this is the spot for you! I will be back for sure!

Summary: This cute place was just what we needed to relax from city living. So close to Seattle and yet a world away. The stars were so bright - my two friends and I all saw the same huge meteor tail! The open field in back was beautiful and private away from the property owners home. Loved hanging out in the sun on a blanket and watched a movie in the cool living room during the heat of the day. Thank you for the perfect getaway, Lisa!

Summary: My friends and I came here with the intention of having a little writers' retreat. Lisa's place worked perfectly! The rental is a converted barn and is just as described in her listing. The downstairs includes the kitchen, dining, and living areas (whose windows look out on the chicken coop and lovely front of the property, featuring a sweet little pond), along with the bath (shower had plenty of hot water). Upstairs are two bedrooms. The stairs lead right into the smaller of the two, so not much privacy, but there is a door between the bedrooms. The larger bedroom includes access to a deck that overlooks an open hillside surrounded by woods full of moss-covered trees. The home is full of charming touches: antique tables, beds, and writing desks that make you excited to sit and write; comfy couches and chairs for reading or having a cup of tea; big chests full of warm blankets--definitely used on chilly nights (the heat is supplied by three space heaters, which were pretty strong, but we had some pretty cold and wet weather, so the blankets helped out). The kitchen has a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave for cooking and is stocked with basics (salt, pepper, sugar packets, coffee, tea, milk, creamer). Lisa also provided bread, fresh eggs--and had some delicious homemade muffins (with cherries from the property!) waiting at our arrival. This is a tranquil and cozy space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Lisa--we hope to return sometime!
