The Cabin Was Built in 2000, on a One Acre Wooded Lot, on Beautiful Big Sand Lake, 10 Minutes from Cumberland Wisconsin. sand lake is a 320 acre spring fed lake...known for its clear water and wooded shoreline, it is 70 ft. deep and excellent for fishing and recreational water sports.
Good Fishing , Pan Fish, Waleye, Muskee, Etc. Conservation Land Next to Property great place for deer hunting. barron co & washburn co Snowmobile Trails next to the cabin. supper club, resturant bar, 1/2 mile from cabin, casta cross country ski trails 4 miles from cabin, timberland trails. the area very relaxing, summer or winter !
All you need to pack are your clothes and food.....linnens, sheets, blankets,kitchen & bath towels are all provided... dish soap and laundry detergent, bleach,t-paper, paper towels,coffe filters are also provided.

Summary: Had a beautiful weekend with the sun and hot weather. And of course the pontoon! Sand lake is a beautiful lake. Funny this time of year was the falling acorns like I had never heard or seen before. A hoot owl one evening close by was vocal. Relax and enjoy the beautiful location for all the opportunities this cabin offers!!!

Summary: My husband and I and our two dogs have vacationed at this cute little cabin for the last 5 years!! We love that they are pet friendly, have a pontoon boat to rent, out of the way but right off the road, and have great fishing!!

Summary: The cabin was delightful and set perfectly above Sand Lake. The limited images on vrbo, doesn't quite represent what a wonderful place it truly is. We enjoyed campfires every evening, with only the owls and bullfrogs serenading us. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed exploring Sand Lake, it's spring-fed and crystal clear. We brought floating devices and found it an easy way to get in and enjoy the water. We were entertained by the loons and were in awe of magnificent eagles perched in trees and soaring above us. The cabin is a gem and would recommend a long stay there.

Summary: The cabin was full of everything you might need to bake or cook dinner. The towels were really plush and the water hot. We loved using the pontoon, and it worked beautifully, but the stairs down to the dock are not for the faint of heart. Old, slanted and broken in some places. Only young folk should apply! Also, I think it should have been clear that there is no cell service and no internet. That would make a difference for soon people who don't prefer to be out of touch. Restaurant recommendation: Louie's on the Lake in Cumberland. Better and more varied than bar food, and they have a patio where we could eat with the dock at our feet.

Summary: Wonderful cabin, even nicer than the pictures, very relaxing, clean and well supplied. Everyone enjoyed themselves sitting around the campfire, relaxing while watching the wildlife. Pontoon was a bonus! Fish weren't biting to well, but being out on the water, cruising around on the lake was enjoyed by all. Deb's a great land manager, thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of using your cabin! Definitely be back!

Summary: We enjoyed a 4 day 3 night stay at this beautiful cabin. It was perfect for our family of 5. It has a very nice cabin feel. We enjoyed watching the eagles and loons. We were able to take advantage of the pontoon and caught an abundance or Large mouth Bass and Northern Pikes. We got a few walleyes too. Everything was "catch and release" so others can enjoy them as well. The owner made the check in process super easy. We had wonderful time. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this cabin.

Summary: I grew up on big Sand Lake. My parents had a cabin for 20 years and then they sadly sold it. So when I found The Lebbes cozy cabin I knew it was fate leading me to it. I needed a little get away to to rest, write and some lovely walks with my 2 faithful collies. This lovely cabin was everything they said it would be. I thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and just the lovely quiet that surrounded me. I especially enjoyed the pictures of the Lebbes building their cabin! Thank you for opening up your lovely home for me to share.
