The Space:
Silverwood Retreat is the perfect getaway to disconnect with family, friends or small group. We've provided the fun in this 2 bedroom cabin - cornhole, volleyball, soccer balls, horseshoes, and many more! You'll have private access to Sleepy Creek, just a quick 10 min walk from the cabin. It's a shallow creek most of the year, but great for cooling off in the summer and for the kids to hunt frogs and crawfish.
The cabin includes:
- Queen bed in the downstairs bedroom
- Sleeping area in the loft with a queen/twin bunk bed and another 2 twin beds
- Pull-out sofa in the living room, and it’s quite comfortable!
- Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven and microwave
- Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service
- WiFi that's fast enough to stream movies and hold video calls
- AC and electric heat to keep you perfectly comfortable, no matter the weather
Outside the cabin, there’s even more to enjoy:

Please note: our well water has a strong sulfur smell, similar to rotten eggs, caused by high concentrations of manganese in the soil. It's very common in this area. We've had the water tested, and it's perfectly safe for drinking, cooking, and bathing. That said, you likely won't like the taste for drinking -- so we recommend bringing bottledwater.

Summary: We had an amazing time and appreciated how quick Tony answered and supported us when something went wrong. Perfect for our family and dogs. It’s hard to leave them at home, so we love places that we can bring both our German Shepherds. Can’t beat the view and quiet.

Summary: Cozy comfortable cabin in the woods with everything we needed. Water smelled pretty strongly of rotten eggs but that is to be expected sometimes when on a well. Aeration will clear that up.

Summary: Mostly satisfying stay. Cabin was a little dirty and older than in pictures. Made sure day before hot tub was in working order but at arrival was not working. The hot tub was finally fixed and hot at midnight on our last night. Was able to use it for an hour. The owner apologised but offered no compensation. Plus the front door knob fell off when we arrived. Had to fix myself. Other than that was a very private property and very nice fire pit. Wood not included.

Summary: The house itself was very clean and comfortable. The yard was good, though surrounded by a lot of fallen wood, we assume from storm damage. The location was a little more remote than we would have liked, the surrounding houses were not always the best and look unoccupied.

Summary: Our family wanted to go somewhere for a few days during Christmas week. We found this gem that was cozy and perfect for our family and dog friendly. Beautiful chalet, fully equipped with everything you need for the stay, everything in the kitchen looks new and it was very clean. Great outdoor space, the snow on the ground was a bonus. We used the fire pit which was nice. Our host Tony was nice and checked on us frequently and was very responsive. Thanks for the sweet memories!

Summary: booked this cabin for a couples getaway with some friends. We had a good time. The cabin was a clean and comfortable, the hot tub was clean as well. We grilled and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Remember to bring groceries, consider stopping on the way.
