Sagebrush Cottage is your home away from home in downtown Kamloops. Perfect for a family of 2-6 with the whole house to yourself: comfy bedrooms, smart tv, fully equipped kitchen, coffee & tea, laundry room, wi-fi, workspace, A/C, free parking, family boardgames and a large, private backyard.
Come visit our bright and cheerful 1950’s character home!
Living and Dining room: Have a family meal around the large mid century teak dining table. Then relax in the cosy living room with a real leather Article couch and teak side chairs. The main living space retains it’s original hardwood floors. (Please help us keep them looking great by removing your shoes in the house and keeping the furniture in it’s place) The games cabinet contains board games, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and books.
Bedrooms: There are 3 well-appointed bedrooms. Upstairs has one queen bedroom and one double bedroom that share the main bathroom. Downstairs there is another queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. All the bedrooms have high quality memory foam mattresses, comfy duvets and pillows and plenty of storage. The bedside table lamps have integrated USB port for your devices. A variety of extra pillows are provided: memory foam, down and synthetic.
Kitchen: The charming kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to serve a dinner for 8 including basic spices, pots, pans, roasting dishes, mixing bowls and more!
Amenities include: toaster, microwave, kettle, Kitchen-Aid mixer, slow cooker, immersion blender and rice cooker.
The coffee bar is in the sunroom next to the kitchen with a pass through window, wall to wall windows and a bistro table for two to enjoy a morning coffee. We offer Keurig, Bodum and pour-over options with complementary coffee, decaf, herbal and regular tea.
Den: Downstairs you will find a work from home area and a warm, inviting TV room. Curl up and watch a movie on the 55" smart tv or just spend some family time reading a book. There is a selection of our favourite children’s books for you to enjoy.
Bathrooms: The upstairs bathroom is in keeping with the the 1950’s vibe of the house, small but updated and clean with a bath/ shower, sink and toilet. The renovated downstairs ensuite has a large tiled shower, sink and toilet.
Complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body wash are provided. A laundry area and supplies are available for your convenience.
Garden: The large private backyard is great for the whole family with shade trees, a patio area with outdoor furniture and BBQ for outdoor dining, an expansive lawn for fun and games, a hammock and lounge chairs for relaxing (summer months only).
Plenty of space and easy access to the laundry room for secure storage of bikes, skis, snowboards and other recreational equipment.
The house is professionally cleaned after each visit and kept in good order for your comfort. Please let us know if there is anything in need of attention or repair.

Summary: Our stay was everything we expected. The house was clean. There were puzzles to do, games to play and cards to have a battle with. The location was perfect - you can walk to downtown. Sunpeaks was about a 45 minute drive.The kitchen was well stocked., with everything you can think of and more. The coffee pods and tea bags were a bonus. I would highly recommend this property and hopefully rebook next year. My husband liked it so much he wanted to buy the house.

Summary: This house is centrally located to lots of things in Kamloops. Most things are a short drive. The TV & entertainment activities are in the finished basement. The upstairs is bright & open feeling. The stairs to the basement are a little steep & there's no windows. We preferred to be upstairs.

Summary: I rented this property for a one month stay in Kamloops to teach an international summer school course at Thompson Rivers University. This rental was everything I could have hoped for. An excellently reno-ed character home with a lovely modern basement, air-conditioning, great washer dryer and basement bathroom. This property served me well as a home base for the month, within walking distance of downtown and Riverside park, my month was spent walking to the beach, watching the free musical entertainment in Riverside park, and then returning home each night to sleep on super comfortable beds, and enjoy the views from the all windowed breakfast nook and entry way. the lights of Kamloops in the evenings, and gorgeous views of the hills in the day. The property owner was prompt on any inquiries I had, and the home is generously appointed with all the amenities one might need for a stay of a weekend, week, month or even longer! I highly recommend this property, and I would look to rebook instantly if I had this kind of opportunity in Kamloops again!

Summary: The home is in a great location especially if you have dogs traveling with you. Quiet streets to walk along. Neighbourhoods were very clean & not much traffic. The house was well stocked with supplies. Well laid out for 5-6 people.

Summary: Property location is convenient, 10-20mins drive to the view points and grocery stores. Pretty decors, luckily already have Christmas decorations during Nov! Love it. The hosts are so reliable, well prepared and quick reply, grateful for that.

Summary: We enjoyed a week long stay at Vanessa’s downtown home. The home is ideally located close to downtown, with convenient access to the highway for travelling around the city. Magnificent beds were a treat to sleep on, a fantastic, mature garden for the dog to safely explore (note there are a few fruit trees to be aware of), a well stocked kitchen, a fantastic walk-in shower with separate spaces for TV viewing downstairs, and social dining and visiting on the main floor. We really enjoyed our stay, the location and the neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!
