Summary: Our family came from Washington and California to attend the Fall Colors Meet at Train Mountain. Pennie's in the Pines was excellent in providing a place for all of us to gather. Jim is extremely friendly and welcoming. He provides everything you need and checks on you too. You won't be disappointed. His decorating and photography is splendid.

Summary: I have to say, with all the rentals I've stayed at in the past, this was by far the best experience. The owner called prior to our stay to give us the lay of the land and welcome us to his home. I've never had that happen before. The place was clean and ready to go. The deck was spacious and private. There was a complete breakfast bar which was just fantastic! And then we got home and I received another call making sure our stay was to our liking and to thank us for our visit. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again at all. If you're looking for something quiet, clean and private this is your place.

Summary: This little home tucked in the valley and surrounded by mountains was the perfect cozy retreat for our Crater Lake adventures. The property sits in a serene setting and the owner has thought of every little touch to make your stay comfortable. From the coffee bar, to the provided kitchen appliances to the staple items provided for use…they have thought of everything. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Can't say enough good things about this place. The location is a great launching pad for outdoor adventures. It was warm and welcoming when we arrived with a Christmas tree and decorations and music waiting to greet us. It is very well stocked with treats and lots of kitchen tools. The host clearly looks out for guests comfort. If you are going to crater lake, this is the place to stay.

Summary: We needed a place to stay close to Collier State Memorial Park where we had other family camping, this home was close and worked perfectly for our needs. The host provided great amenities that made our stay even more pleaseant.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, remote location. The house was very clean and has a lot of space. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and is very usable. We loved that there was enough seating for five people at both the inside and outside deck table, and in the living room. Great hospitality. Great deck and yard. Close to Crater Lake, which was our goal. But also close to Train Mountain Railway Museum, which is super fun. We had a great evening of star gazing and s’mores, then another evening of star gazing up at Crater Lake.

Summary: Lovely home. Well equipped with nice touches to add to our comfort and enjoyment. Breakfast bar, horse shoes, corn hole, board games, cozy blankets and fast internet. Wood River Wetland is a short walk away. Our host suggested a number of places to visit. We particularly enjoyed Toketee Falls and Lava Beds National Monument. 30 miles to Crater Lake which we visited several times. Highly recommend this place.
