Positive: Location suited my needs for this trip. The accommodation was ideal as well as being clean and tidy.

Negative: The driveway down to the property is steep and a little slippery in the wet, but fine once you are aware. I parked on the road as I didn't fancy using the driveway.

Positive: Clean, comfortable bed, fabulous shower, roomy kitchen. Handy location.

Negative: No curtain at the kitchen/ living window for privacy. Neighbours potentially can see in, so felt uncomfortable sitting in living area. Also on one occasion children playing on path alongside kitchen could see in. Previous visitors had mentioned this in reviews, but no improvements made. No dining, coffee table or bedside table so nowhere to place food or hot drinks, or my glasses at night. Again mentioned in previous reviews. Strangely there was a stack of coasters despite no surface to put them on. No TV channels, only Netflix which I wasn’t keen to watch. Previous reviews had mentioned this. I have never struck this before in my many years of staying in NZ accommodation. I would have thought the issues raised in previous reviews would have lead to improvements. Would have been a nice touch to have a little bit of milk in the fridge. A hot drink would have been fantastic after a long drive. Did not see the owners despite being there for 4 nights, however thin walls meant I often heard the family calling out to each other. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as walking down steep driveway carrying luggage and moving past the host’s vehicle, is challenging.

Summary: Comfortable enough but attention to detail would make it a more appealing place to stay.
