Summary: getting in was a bit of a hassle, did not get the code at first, but once we were in, so glad it worked out. Very cute cottage, very clean, lots of nice thoughtful extra items to use in case you forgot something. You could here the creek from the front porch and the backyard had a lot of nice areas to sit, and fun to explore all the extras, even though we did not have much time to enjoy it. We were busy at the battle field. The property was very close to Sharpsburg and Antietam. The area was very quiet and rural, which we love because we live in the country.

Summary: Wonderful, cozy cottage. Also very convenient location - Shepardstown, Antietam, Sharpsburg all very short drives. The best part for me was the number of birds around the cottage. Sunday morning I sat at the picnic table in the back to watch and listen to 28+ species of birds, including the Yellow-billed Cuckoo, House Finches, Hairy & Downy Woodpeckers, Great Crested Flycatchers and more! Wonderful place in every way.

Summary: The house was perfect for two couples. We are old friends and enjoyed having a great place to hang out together. Plenty of space and all supplies were available.

Summary: This house was a perfect home base for a weekend of hiking and biking nearby. The ride to the C&O canal was quick and easy! The house is clean and true to the pictures. There are MANY thoughtful details by the host - a real gem.
