This 2BR, 1BA, 860 square foot cottage is fully furnished and ready for you as a guest! One bedroom is furnished with a comfy queen bed, the other with two twin beds (one is a trundle and can be stored away. We may be able to accommodate a fifth guest as well on the living room futon. The kitchen has been beautifully redone with a granite counter top and a Bosch dishwasher. The bathroom was redone as well. Cooking is a breeze in the bright kitchen which is fully furnished for cottage living. Summer evenings are usually cool, but on the really hot days, window air conditioning units keep the house cool and comfortable. There's a washer and dryer in the utility room and a one car garage, as well as ample driveway parking. The property backs up to state park property - head right up the hill to the best hiking trails in the area. The backyard has a nice size lawn, a concrete patio with Adirondack chairs, and a fire-pit. We have bikes available for use at your own risk. The area is excellent for biking with dedicated bike paths along many major roads. We are located on the bike path around the corner from Lake Macatawa, 1 mile from the Holland State Park Lake Michigan beach and 1/2 mile from the Lake Macatawa beach and the iconic Ottawa Beach General Store - as well as away from the inevitable summer traffic back-ups. Downtown Holland is about 12 minutes from the cottage.

Summary: It was a perfect location for our weekend, only .7 miles from our relatives. The house was perfect for us, ideal location and we are excited to come back, hopefully for Tulip time in May. Thank you so much!!

Summary: Host Lynda is quick to respond to questions and resolve anything we asked. Super nice to guests. However, the VRBO Checkin was abnormal because VRBO booking still listed my reservation as Pending, apparently after the first credit card used had an incorrect code. Though I called VRBO to verify the booking and payment, the booking issue broke communication using VRBO app. Thankfully Lynda responded to a phone call and helped us get into the house as we arrived.

Summary: My husband and I and our 19-month old enjoyed our stay here. It’s about 12 minutes from downtown Holland but 2 minutes from the beach and about 20-30 minutes from all the nearby towns we wanted to visit … Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, Saugutuck, Douglas. The queen bed is comfy and we were happy to have AC in the unit. Only downside was the couch was uncomfortable, and with a toddler they go to bed much earlier than you so you spend a lot of time in the living room. Loved having the laundry and breezeway, and Lisa was super responsive. Would definitely stay here again or recommend it for small families. The Ottawa General Store is nearby for awesome ice cream too!

Summary: The cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated! There was a slight glitch with checking in but Linda was very attentive and it was fixed quickly. We loved the location! A quick walk or bike to the beach and a short drive to downtown Holland and Saugatuck. We had a wonderful and would definitely come back and stay!
