Step Back In Time...Welcome to our Farmhouse! Particularly suitable for couples and adult friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern day life and capture the simplicity of the "Good Ole Days"
Cedar Oaks Inn Is located in Dickinson. The property is 19 miles from Galveston and 20 miles from Houston and free private parking is provided.
This 1900s cottage was formerly a barracks at Ellington Airforce base and has been completely updated. It is a two-bedroom cottage with one bathroom inside with a large walk-in shower with huge rainfall shower head, there is also a large clawfoot soaking tub. There is a separate bathroom outside. A very spacious living and dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom has king bed with an attached screen porch. The second bedroom is a queen murphy bed with a desk. Just off the living/dining area is a large front porch to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine.
The outside wet room has a huge rainfall shower head and two clawfoot tubs side by side. adjacent to that is an outhouse with sink and toilet. Also, outside is a large, covered deck with table and chairs, sofa and other furniture. Also, there is a huge water feature with fireplace, outside kitchen with sink, grill and ice maker.
This property is pet friendly and fenced in so from to moment you arrive your favorite fur buddy can be closed in.
The entire property is fun when rented with friends. It's located away from the community pool and hot tub as well as the other two rentals on this large property providing privacy and seclusion.
Minimum age to rent is 25 years.

Summary: We could not have been more delighted. Everywhere you looked, was a piece of art. From the stain glass stained art, to the authentic outdoor bathhouse, we felt like we were living in a magical cottage. We brought our small dogs and our older teens and felt so incredibly welcomed. The breakfast was outstanding and the hosts were more than hospitable. I will definitely be coming back.

Summary: This was such a pleasant surprise! The pictures and description do not do it justice. My only grip is that it would have been nice to be more well informed on the listing because apparently this is preferably adults only* but either way we were happy campers. This is off the beaten path and a part of a fabulous bed and breakfast called Cedar Oaks Inn and it’s owned by a lovely couple who are extremely welcoming from the moment you arrive. The food was exceptional and the hospitality was one of a kind. The place is absolutely charming and we loved the way they decorated and finished it out to make it cozy. They really did think of every detail and were super responsive anytime we needed anything. Well worth the money!!

Summary: When I booked this through VRBO, I did not realize it was a full service B&B. I am so glad we found this place. The owners (Tania & Jeff) are fantastic! The house (The Barracks) is located on about 4 wooded acres of land. They restored a 1920's vintage army barrack into a really nice retreat. The main house has a second rental (The Saloon), which is really cool too. There is a great pool with a grotto-like hot tub attached. They have all kinds of fun stuff to do on the grounds, including ax throwing, which is awesome. Tania is an artist and an awesome decorator. Everywhere you look, you will find something really interesting. I could go on and on, but the place is incredible, maintained by two really great people that we were so happy to get to know while we stayed there. This is great for couples and would also be great for corporate events or parties. I can't recommend this place enough. FIVE STARS INDEED!

Summary: Cedar Oaks B & B is set on a magnificent piece of historic property. What a beautiful treat. I stayed with a friend, and we both had a wonderful time. Tanya is an amazing artist and host. She went to great lengths to make sure we had everything we needed at the "Barracks."
