The Cozy Cottage offers plenty of room to relax, with over 1,600 square feet of space divided amongst two floors. Defined by warm tones, fur and rustic textures, this is the perfect place for your family's mountain escape.
The space
At the heart of the home is the main living area, where you’ll discover plenty of space to relax and unwind. There’s a plush seating area with cozy décor and a fireplace, plus a large-screen TV. You’ll also find two leather chairs—a wonderful space to kick back and chat over evening cocktails.
The main living space is also open to the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils, pots, pans and lovely dishes you need—whether you’re creating a warm meal in the crockpot or raising a glass of red over your take-out pizza. A peninsula with two bar stools, plus a dining table that can seat six people comfortably, provides plenty of room to come together.
The first floor master includes a plush king bed and large master bathroom with a beautiful free-standing soaker tub. Make your way upstairs to a cozy designated work space and into the loft that includes a big screen tv, perfect for a family movie night on the twin size trundle day bed, or cozy up for a fun family game night. In addition, you’ll find a bedroom that includes two full size beds with a beautiful mountain view and the third bedroom with a comfy king size bed and small porch area to enjoy the brisk mornings and your favorite cup of coffee.
And of course, no mountain house is complete without a porch and four season views. The expansive back deck has a fire pit with four Adirondack chairs, a 6-person dining table and two hanging chair swings - a peaceful escape, a place to take in the fresh mountain air and look down toward the surrounding nature.
The Wintergreen resort is 1.5 miles, and a quick walk or bike ride takes you directly to the hiking trails. After a long day on the mountain or nearby wineries/breweries, the Cozy Cottage is a true respite.

Summary: This is my second stay in this beautiful home. The location at Wintergreen is wonderful, it is away from all the commotion at the top of the mountain. Beautiful scenery and gorgeous sunsets. The home has everything you will need for a wonderful stay. Fabulous hosts that can be contacted at any time. Should you need to, But you likely won’t need to because everything is available in the house.

Summary: We visit Wintergreen at least once year, and this is the best property we've stayed in. Every detail is covered, from the bath towel warmer to the coffee pods. And you can't beat the sunsets. This is a great property, and the owner was a gem to work with. 10/10, we hope to return.

Summary: I lost my wife to cancer recently and the Cozy Cottage was the most perfect place to relax and connect with my three kids. The home is absolutely amazing with this most spectacular views. You'll never want to leave the deck! Everything is clean and organized and the kitchen had everything we needed for a few home cooked meals. Bedrooms were super comfy with lots of pillows. The master bathroom was great with a huge soaking tub and we all loved the towel warmer! My daughter said the was going to the spa! Couldn't have picked a more wonderful place for our family vacation. Krista was an excellent host and quickly responded to our questions. Thank you for the great hospitality!
