Spend the winter months downhill skiing and snow tubing at the nearby Wisp Ski Resort. Warmer months can be spent enjoying several great hiking trails and lake activities, golfing, whitewater rafting, and experiencing an aerial adventure park. You will also be only a short drive from most restaurants, and Smiley's and Funland are just 13 miles north for all-ages fun, including go-karts and games. This is sure to be your favorite year-round destination!

Summary: No complaints, the house was exactly as it was the first time we visited except that the outdoor chairs were substantially upgraded and the back deck has been extended. Cute cottage, helpful 1-story design for any less mobile family members, and an open floor plan - fit our needs perfectly

Summary: House was very nice - some squeaky doors made it a little difficult for those who got up early to be quiet. Back porch could have been cleaned off a bit better but overall was a very nice place to stay. Very quiet neighborhood. Would liked to have had a little better instructions on the nearest beach area and water access. Would go back again a little more prepared.

Summary: Loved the house, just the right size and all the amenities, close to Wisp as well! The bed size was confusing, there were two grown-up rooms with alleged queen beds and one kids room with twin and double bed, but one of the adult beds felt smaller than queen size.

Summary: My family came for a 3 day get-away in October, and had an amazing time. The house had a single floor setup (perfect for elderly parent) and was clean and up to date. Great open floor plan in the kitchen/dining room/living room. The residential community has private access to Deep Creek Lake via a boat launch as well as a "beach" and picnic area which we visited on 2 separate days, and the house is within 20 minutes or so from plenty of stores, gas stations, and recreational activities. The fall colors were spectacular, and we've already talked about coming again next year!

Summary: The property is fine for a larger group that doesn’t mind driving 20 Minutes to everything over some rugged roads. The property is 20 minutes from the lake as well as all restaurants and the two major towns, Oakland and McHenry. Worst of all is Vacasa. I felt like I had a permanent pen pal with a constant barrage of emails. Some stated that it was check in information when in fact it was an advertisement for their other properties. I would never stay again in another property managed by Vacasa!
