Summary: We were unhappy with the mouse droppings and mold on the fridge. The spectic didn't work. The oven wasn't cleaned in a very long time. The grill hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I was charged a cleaning fee and it was not cleaned II'msensitive

Summary: Heads up, this is a very rustic, not well kept up and not well cleaned property. Examples: sticky pots and pans, coffee maker not cleaned out from previous guest, bugs under beds and mice present. In addition there’s no microwave, a lamp was missing a lightbulb and the shower head is command hooked up and unusable unless completely showering with it in your hand. I understand this is up north and in the woods, but the holes in the walls, holes in screens and dirt/grime on walls and surfaces could be remedied and haven’t been. If you’re cool with that—go on and book.

Summary: We had a great time. Lake Avalon is beautiful and cottage was just a short stroll to beach access. Seems like a close, friendly community. We mostly were enjoying the outdoors for our time away but cottage had what we needed for our stay.

Summary: The cottage was nice even though it’s going through some renovations. The bed in the purple room is amazing, I haven’t slept that well in a long time.

Summary: Host communicated well. It is stated that renovations are ongoing so we expected some outdated stuff going in. Cleanliness was good. The lake was great. Clean and sandy beach areas we utilized a few times. The large amount of broken glass in the driveway that ended up in my foot, which I assume is from the missing outside glass table on the welcome paper, was quite a problem. We would have loved to grill as it is stated there is a grill available, however there was no propane tank. The mice running around is understandable because it is the country similar to where we live. However, the mice nibbles in the bread bag was unappealing. If it’s warm take a fan or two because it was quite muggy and no working fan beside the 6 inch personal fan was there. With 85 degree days it was needed so we purchased one and left with my in-laws when we left.

Summary: Everything was very easy staying at this cute cottage. There was a Keurig coffee bar with coffee pods provided. The only minor suggestion I would have a microwave would have been useful to have. All the other necessities were provided. They also left us a couple bundles of wood and we had a nice fire in the fire pit. The lake a is just up the street and it is very nice. We have a very restful and enjoyable time.

Summary: Cozy little cottage with lake view just down the street. Cottage is being updated currently. However, that didn’t affect our Holiday weekend stay. Water pressure in shower works fine. You just have to switch the button if it’s slowly coming out. Handheld shower head would be better if it was mounted to the shower wall. They have bath towels but we couldn’t find any washcloths. Strong smell of stale cigarette smoke when we initially walked in. Opened the windows and sorted it out, smell seemed to disappear. Cute place with lots of potential.
