Positive: Beautiful cottage,, nicely decorated and indeed cosy. Spacious living & dining area, well furnished kitchen. Excellent beds, comfortable bathroom. Reception was very efficient with timely info and what's app video on how to use lockbox. Wifi was excellent, TV had Rakuten TV too which allowed us to stream some movies on the bigger screen. So cottage and service excellent.
Negative: The cottage is located on the corner of 2 busy streets, so from the front and side window you constantly see cars passing by. It gives little privacy, so we constantly wanted to close the curtains. On one side window you look out on the garbage containers, so curtains closed there too. Even a see-through light curtain would help to create a bit more privacy. What you do not see in the pictures is that behind the cottage there is a very large building housing a restaurant and apartments. We were lucky, closed on 1/1 and not very busy on 2/1. So you have no privacy in the back either, all windows in the kitchen and in the bedrooms, the terrace, all you see is this massive restaurant. Again, some see-through curtains would help, so you can create privacy while keeping daylight. But still the location is really not great. The parking you see on the pictures is the parking from the restaurant, so you have to park on the street, which is available and free, but it means that on any given day the parking lot is full of cars from the restaurant. So from a location and privacy point of view, this was really disappointing. Inside worth the money, but from location & privacy point of view overpriced.

Positive: Very close to Wassenaar center. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and circulating fans were most welcome. Dishwasher and clothes washer were helpful.

Positive: Beautiful cottage in a lovely part of NL. We visited as a family (Dad and 3 adult daughters) and were looking for somewhere close to Duinrell. It was easy to find, and the main road outside the property got us into central Amsterdam in 35 minutes. It was warm and cosy, the bath was FANTASTIC, shower lovely and great kitchen/lounge facilities. This is a great home away from home, and all of us are keen to return with our own families. Host was communicative and left clear instructions that were warm and not rude at all.
Negative: Nothing to dislike at all. The main road didn’t cause us any issues either. The only thing to highlight would be that the stairs are quite steep and the bathroom is downstairs. This wasn’t a bad thing, but useful to know.
Summary: Fantastic stay for a Christmas break!
