Summary: While the reason for our stay was less than ideal (a family funeral) the property and property owner exceeded our expectations making it a place our family and a few extended family members could spend some time together to decompress. We loved the cabin feel of the property; it was cozy, welcoming and so peaceful. Everything we needed was provided. Andis, the property owner even left a bowl of snacks including everything we needed to make smores in the lakeside fire pit. We look forward to coming back again!

Summary: House was cozy clean and we had everything we needed for our family of 7. The kids would have loved to use the treehouse if it were available. Host was considerate and available. We hope to be able to do this again

Summary: Nice place to get away and enjoy some down time. Great views. Living, dining, and upstairs bedroom face the lake. Bedroom on first floor with queen bed has nice windows with a view of many trees and nature. Couches and bed very comfortable. Had the cabin feel we wanted. Beach area is very cozy with a dock and fire pit. We enjoyed the daily visits from the swans. Great deck with the right amount of shading. There is an older large dog a few doors down that is occasionally loose. He didn’t bother us but we were warned to be on alert when walking our dog. Beautiful area to visit.

Summary: Our family of 7 got away for an extended weekend. The hope was to enjoy some much needed family relaxation on the lake. We didn’t want it to break the bank and we didn’t want to drive far. This was the perfect place to accomplish that! We enjoyed time on the lake in our boat or kayaks provided by the owner. We enjoyed games on the screened in porch. The 2 tier deck was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the hammock. The little beach was lovely too and we got good use out of that. The views were amazing! Especially in the morning and evenings. The cottage is on the smaller side but we honestly didn’t notice as there was a bed for everyone. And there were multiple spaces to hang out. It was clean and the updates made provided a newer modern touch to the history it holds. Our interaction with the owner was pleasant and we got all of our questions answered promptly. We made all of our meals from scratch and the only inconvenience was having a very small sink to wash big pans in. But most people likely don’t prep full meals from scratch on vacation. If we were to go back we’d likely avoid meals that require pan washing. The new appliances were appreciated, however. I’ll add as well that the beds slept comfortably. Another touching note is that the cottage was purchased from the owner’s grandmother. It had provided fond childhood memories. We’re grateful to have shared our own family memories here too. We’d recommend!

Summary: A long weekend & opportunity to have our adult children join us for the weekend - always fun memories to be made! We were a group of 8, plus 2 dogs. Host was very responsive, as was his property manager when we had a minor issue. It was resolved almost immediately! Over the weekend, we fished (mostly from the dock), kayaked & used Sea Doo's. Lake was great for water sports - although no one was really interested in swimming due to all the weeds. (but that made for good fishing.. lol) We had just a couple of 'wish we had known' moments. First - the 2 bedrooms on main floor did not have actual doors, just a curtain closure. We would really have preferred doors just for privacy & better separation. Maybe something to consider in future. Also - there are a lot of steps - and specifically steps to upstairs bedroom are kinda narrow and very steep. (I struggle a bit with those). Last - the road goes between the Cottage & Lake, so the lake area is a bit small - especially if parking vehicles in that same space. I didn't feel the listing pictures accurately showed those particular details. (or maybe I just over looked it). All in all, we did have a great weekend. Oh - I also really loved & appreciated the big table in the both the kitchen area & the screen in porch. It was wonderful to have everyone sit together for meals & also to play games. We would certainly consider staying again - depending on our group size! =) Thank-you! Rachael
