2 Bedroom House in Alpine Northwest, Alpine

Stay in a white oak log cabin originally built in 1853!
Our reclaimed log cabin in Alpine is located near the lake in a quiet neighborhood comprised of both summer homes and year-round residents. You can walk to the lake in 3 minutes from the backyard, and there are endless walking and alpine ski trails nearby.
The house features a large front porch, back porch, and fenced in backyard. There is a half bath, kitchen with a gas oven and range, living room with a wood burning fireplace, and eating area on the first floor. There are lots of books on the shelves and puzzles to put together. The house has DirecTV and high speed internet. There is no microwave! There is a play set with swings and a slide in the backyard.
The upstairs loft area is accessed by a spiral staircase. The loft has a metal rail on one side that allows people to look upstairs or downstairs freely. There is a full bathroom, queen bed, and dresser in the large, open loft. The closet is open. The bathroom has a clawfoot soaker tub with a shower head. There is no bathroom door, only a curtain for privacy! There is a washer and dryer. We can easily set up a pack-and-play in the loft if needed.
Once upstairs, you can access a children’s sleeping loft via a ship's ladder. There is only one double mattress and some books and puzzles up there.
This house is clean, cozy and in a great location.
We have also uploaded a photo of Mr. William Brant who originally built the house. We initially thought the cabin was built in 1864, but after further research, we realized it pre-dates the Civil War and was built the year the potato chip was invented in 1853!
This house is owned by a Wyoming real estate agent.

Summary: This cabin was absolutely beautiful and amazing. It had all the amenities we needed for the week we were there. The property manager was very helpful and replied really fast when we had questions before we came up. We absolutely loved our stay there and the area in and around alpine was gorgeous. We will most definitely book this cabin again in the future. Out of 5 stars we give this property a 10.

Summary: Can't say enough good things about Rebecca and her charming historical cabin. The cabin is in a great location, conveniently close to town and where the Snake River enters the Palisades Reservoir. Our stay in early January was during a cold snap with a fair amount of new snow which made the surroundings breathtaking; a true winter wonderland. Although the cabin was built pre-civil war it has been expertly remodeled and modernized while maintaining it's historic charm. Internet is wicked fast and DirecTV is available although we rarely watched it. Very comfortable and functional for a relatively small space. It never felt small though and our family had plenty of room to move around. The cabin was very clean, well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals and it's nicely decorated. We had one fluke issue with a newer appliance and Rebecca bent over backwards to immediately ensure it was resolved quickly. We plan to return this year and would be more than happy to stay here again!

Summary: This is hands down my most favorite stay to date. The house itself is 160 years old, and the hosts have done an incredible job loving and caring for the property. It truly felt like home, and that’s not a easy feeling for me to achieve. The property is immaculately clean, so comfortable, and so nicely put together all while honoring the history. The layout is great, touches are amazing, especially the live plants. I could not stop staring at my surroundings. If/when I find myself in the area again, I will absolutely stay here. Absolutely amazing!

Summary: This cute mountain cabin was a perfect fit for my husband and I. The cabin was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we would need for a 5 night stay. The town of Alpine is small but has everything one might need. Surrounded by National Forests and about an hour drive to National Parks, there is plenty of hiking, fishing, biking and boating options. A perfect, relaxing stay.
