Summary: This is the place you want to land after a 9-hour drive with kids in the rain. It is immaculately clean, cozy, welcoming, and user friendly. Felicia and Joel care deeply about the guest experience with details throughout the home- from having music playing when you enter, to festive lights on the porch, fresh cookies upon arrival, and an assortment of delicious tea available. Everything feels comfortable. You can definitely tell the property is owner adjacent- rather than owned by a company. There’s so much to do in the area, but our little kids particularly enjoyed the walk down to the river on the property, even in the cold weather. We would love to stay here again. It’s a special spot for sure.

Summary: The property was absolutely gorgeous and the place was extremely clean and welcoming! We brought our corgi who loved hiking the trail! Felicia and Joel were so sweet making sure we had what we needed and easily accessible if we had questions.

Summary: We were in the Falls Village area for a run at Mohawk Mountain, about 10 minutes from the property. The property was perfect for us, not too large and not too small. It was very clean and we enjoyed seeing the fall colors and the birds/squirrels using the feeder on the deck. Felicia and Joel left us muffins and coffee which were excellent and had great suggestions for meals. Overall a wonderful place to stay!

Summary: This was our second visit to the Carriage House and we were just as impressed as the first time. The space is extremely clean and welcoming. We cooked in the full kitchen and enjoyed the views from the deck and riverside steps to the water. We love to hike and appreciated the short walk to the trails. Amazing views and leaf peeping! Great for a quiet getaway. Thanks again for your hospitality Felicia and Joel!

Summary: My dog Hudson and I had an incredible five days at Felicia and Joel’s amazing carriage house. We enjoyed the incredible property, the cool morning walks, the Appalachian Trail, the private access to the bucolic Housatonic River, and the fantastic, peaceful atmosphere. It was an amazing, relaxing retreat for us. Felicia and Joel’s hospitality and kindness were unmatched!

Summary: Let me start by saying we've stayed in numerous rentals, but this one took the cake. Every other rental seems to provide the bare minimum, but this property came equipped with everything you could ask for, and then some. The bed was incredibly comfortable. A queen-sized piece of heaven. The bathroom is a modern place of serenity, and your towel is warmed on the warming rack for when you get out. The kitchen is equipped with organic teas, coffee grounds and a French press, a dishwasher, and plenty of cookware and silverware. Muffins and pastries from a local bakery greeted us on the counter, and fresh apples in a basket. The deck is perched on the second floor, so the owners can safely put bird feeders outside of the sliding glass doors. This means you're in a bird watchers paradise. We enjoyed sitting on the reclining loveseat and watching them. The yard is immaculately kept. There is a sitting area with a grill and wood burning fire pit, and if that's not enough to satisfy your outdoor loving heart, walk the beautifully wide path through the woods in the back to a riverside deck, complete with recreational equipment, a propane burning firepit, and romantic table and chairs. A stones throw from the house is the entrance to an Appalachian trail. This part of the trail is well groomee, making it a leisurely stroll through gorgeous new England forest alongside the river. There are benches and view points that just make the entire hike an incredible experience. We brought our English Mastiff Hila, who was very comfortable with us, there's even a lead down by the river table and propane fireplace she was safe on while we enjoyed the view. When we played with her in the yard, we meet the owner of the house on the property, Joel and his cute dog Chloe. Joel was incredibly kind, welcoming, and exuded a warmness that made us feel right at home. Did I mention the food nearby? Falls Village Cafe, and Mountain View Cafe - incredible dining options breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The town and surrounding areas are incredibly scenic; we felt like we were living in a romantic novel. Farmland meets a wooded nature escape. Obviously we can't say enough. I really could go on but will disgress. Thank you for the love you clearly put into this rental. It shows, ten fold.

Summary: Our stay at the Carriage House was wonderful from the moment we stepped in. The space was clean, cozy and inviting, and the attention to detail was much appreciated. We wanted to get away from the city for a few days and give our large pup some time in nature; our trip did exactly that. These, along with the warm hospitality Joel and Felicia provide their guests, will have me wanting to visit again if we are back in the area. Thank you!

Summary: My husband and I stayed at the Carriage House for 2 nights -- a quick spring snowboarding trip to nearby Mohawk Mountain. We loved it -- everything was as advertised. The place was spotless and well appointed; the hosts, Joel and Felicia, were incredibly warm and welcoming; and the location was beautiful. We were traveling with our Westie. He enjoyed the expansive property as well as the sights and smells of the path through the pine forest that leads to the Housatonic River. We'd like to return and stay longer. It's a special spot.
