The Space:
This cottage offers sweeping views of the ocean complimented by a large open living space and a perfect deck to enjoy the outdoor space. It is truly as close to the waterfront as you can get and the views alone make this cottage a perfect place to experience Cape Cod. Our cottage is perfectly located on Town Cove. The large, gated deck is where you’ll enjoy cocktails and grilling, watching boats in the bay, birds and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Inside you’ll find a galley kitchen, two bedrooms, a queen bed in one and 2-twins in the other, a gas fireplace in the living room and well equipped galley kitchen as well as an updated bathroom. The living space also offers a full-size futon for overnight guests. Stay cool and connected with A/C units in both bedrooms and secured wifi and satellite to enjoy on your flat screen TV.
Anchorage on the Cove by Del Mar Vacations offers a full vacation experience in one place. Put your boat in at Town Cove and pick up your guests right at our boat dock for a day trip to anywhere! Enjoy use of our kayaks, canoes or skiff or bring your paddleboard or fishing poles to explore the area (available through October). We are centrally located near shopping, bay and ocean beaches, bike trails, art galleries, theatres, great restaurants, and the Cape Cod Institute and Cape Cod Symposia.
Large Families Take Note! This unit is on a property with 3 other cottages and 2 condos that are also available. The entire property sleeps 23 and is fantastic for a large family offering plenty of open space as well as private space if needed. Pets are always welcome on leash and even have their own dog run on the property(just make sure to supervise and clean up after). Our waterfront accommodations are open year round, and our cottages are available on a weekly basis “in season” from Saturday to Saturday and off-season, we offer a two-night minimum.

Summary: We loved the location right on the water. The cabin was adequate except I was unable fo fit my small motorized wheelchair through the bathroom door. I’ve come to realize old homes are not ADA compliant. We made it work. We also loved the peaceful nature. The queen mattress was very comfortable. New mini-blinds needed in kitchen.

Summary: Got lucky with near-perfect weather all week so spent plenty of time out on the deck. Sofa is very soft & low so people with bad knees may have difficulty getting on & off. Driveway intersects with busy Route 6 so it can be challenging getting out of the driveway (can the high grasses be mowed near Route 6 or the property sign repositioned to facilitate visibility of oncoming traffic for drivers leaving the property?) The property’s proximity to some amazing beaches on the mid-cape make Eastham a great base. But it’s a challenging location for pedestrians and, for safety reasons, I would not recommend trying to get around on foot from that location. Drivers seem to be going well beyond the speed limit on that narrow stretch of Route 6. We only used the stove for one meal but even boiling pasta for 10 minutes made the adjacent wall REALLY heat up and that made us a little nervous. But overall we had a fabulous week and we’re already making plans to return next year. Thank you!!!

Summary: We had wonderful weather and loved the Top sail cottage. We cooked on the grill and sat on the enclosed deck with our dog every day and enjoyed the water view. We plan on returning very soon.

Summary: What a lovely little cove side cottage! We fell in love with this place. The pictures are accurate to the home. I loved sipping my coffee on the deck overlooking the water and reading a book. My husband and son fished from the dock each morning and night. Plenty of great restaurants nearby and perfectly situated to get to any area of the cape! My husband and I traveled with two teenagers and this house was perfect for the four of us. We absolutely will rent from them again or another DelMar property. I am very impressed with their communication and attentiveness to the property. A couple things to note, the game room is not in the house but in another building on property, maybe 50 feet away from the house. The property is set on the main road in Orleans so it is difficult to leave the driveway during peak traffic times and make a left (anyone familiar with summer Cape traffic will understand), so we went right and turned around. But that wouldn’t stop us from renting this house or another of the houses in this location again. Honestly, one of the best vacations we have had and we have been going to the Cape for 23 years!
