DISCLAIMER, Directly East 3/4 of a mile is the Emmet County Sportsman club. They are a very organized, safety oriented, public invited, well run organization that promotes the shooting sports. Sporting clays, world class clays course that is open to the public. There hours of operation are 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. This resulted in 1 guest out of 36 calling me last year regarding the shooting noise

Summary: Really great location that is adjacent to a land Conservancy property that has a wonderful Beech/ Maple Woodland with many trails to hike and run. The one downside is the shooting range on the other side of the property. Luckily, they stop at 5 PM, but it would be nice if they didn’t start until 11.

Summary: This cabin is incredible! It has everything you need and character to boot! Obviously done with much love and care. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: A fairy tale setting. Very comfortable bed and screened porch. I spent a lot of time in the hammock. This unique cabin is surrounded by 900 acre preserve. The only drawback was the shooting range next door. Other than that, I have never been in a place that brought me more happiness.

Summary: We had such a lovely time staying at Hide away log cabin. The cabin was super clean with all the needed amenities but amazing the way the log cabin details were preserved. We went for two walks/hikes in the beautiful nature preserve right next door and spent our mornings and nights on the peaceful screened in porch. We had dinners out in Harbor Springs, which is a short drive, and visited the beautiful beach in Good Hart. We took slightly longer day trips to wilderness state park and Mackinac island.
