2 Bedroom Cabin in Morgan

An authentic log cabin home and is our little hidden gem. It is located in the Canyons at beautiful Lake Whitney. It has 2 bedrooms (one down, 2nd is a loft upstairs) and 1.5 bath. Fully equipped kitchen, full size washer & dryer. located at the end of a no outlet street surrounded by trees, backing up to a ravine. If you like to hike or just explore, there are trails behind the cabin. There is a neighborhood cove located just a short drive from the cabin, it is great for swimming, fishing or kayaking. It features a full wrap around porch that you can enhance your evenings by turning on the rope lights at night. The porch features a dining table on the back, swing that overlooks the yard with the fire pit (being your own fire wood). There is a small bistro table, 4 rocking chairs at the front and a spool table for you to sit and enjoy nature. No matter where you are at on the porch, there is plenty of seating. We have a deer feeder that goes off early morning and early evening, so be sure to be on the look out for our neighborhood friends! There is a picnic table with a smoker/grill located under the carport for you to cook and dine outside (be sure to bring charcoal/lighter) *the gas grill located on the porch is NOT available for use*. You will have access to all interior and exterior spaces, except for the locked closet in the master bedroom, the small storage shed on the back porch and the garage. Those spaces are for housekeeping & maintance personell. We added a 50 ft tower with a tv intenna *no climbing allowed*. We do have internet and All of the Tvs have Roku and there are 54 movies in the dvd holder for you to watch as well. We also added a cell phone booster in the cabin to help with service ( we cannot guarantee service as it will depend on your provider).
*Strict 6 guest max, 3 car max at all times, NO EXCEPTIONS!!

DO NOT PUY ANY TRASH IN THE FIRE PIT- it is NOT a trash can, use the bins provided!!

evidence of smoking inside will result in an additional $200 from deposit for deep clean and or violation of rule.
If you smoke outside- you will need to dispose of your cigarettes - do not use the tin cans for bottle caps, do not leave any on the deck or in the yard. This can cause a fire and you will be held liable for any damages to the property. Property is inspected after each departure. If they are found on property, you will lose part of your deposit!!!!!
Check out instructions are left in the cabin. It is a friendly reminder to pick up after yourself and to not leave any personal belongings behind.
You will self check in with keyless keypad- code provided upon check in.
This cabin is an actual log cabin, therefore it has natural insulation. While there is AC & heat, it can be warmer or cooler than normal depending on the season.
Fireworks are not permitted in the property.

While we do supply toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags- they are limited.
*There are 2 security cameras outside. They are for protection of our property and are NOT to be tampered with in any way.

Summary: We had a very relaxing, peaceful weekend. When we arrived, the water was off due to a valve issue, but the property owner was extremely prompt in getting help and rectifying the issue. The only other issue we had was that the Vrbo listing at time of booking included a hot tub, which was one of the main reasons for my booking, but the property in fact does not have a hot tub. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend, and we appreciated the owner's excellent communication and prompt handling of our needs. Would definitely book here again!

Summary: The location was perfect for us. We loved the wrap around porch with all the seating choices. The inside of the house was a little unclean. The floors could have used a mopping and the window sills were very dusty and full of dead bugs. Even with this we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Summary: I really never leave reviews, even for things that I buy. The location was great. Instructions to the property were perfect. Once we were there, we wanted to stay. We took hundreds of pictures of the deer. Now the bad part. The house was not cleaned as expected. The couch and one of the chairs had dog hair all over it. The countertop in the kitchen was dirty. There were cobwebs on the ceiling fan and in the bathroom. The rugs in the bathroom needed vacuuming. Other than that, the stay was really nice. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Thanks

Summary: Overall our stay was great! Dates shown above are incorrect. We were there July 31st thru August 4th. I do have a few suggestions. Directions to The Canyons needs to be more specific starting with exiting from I35. Boat that we brought was not a problem getting into the property and parking was very sufficient. In the description for turning on the family room tv is not accurate. It says to use the Black remote. All three (3) are Black also the tv is a Toshiba and none of the remotes are for a Toshiba. As a result we were unable to connect the tv. Both bedrooms tv were excellent and work properly. Also what is up the "Caution" tapes on certain trees? That made us uncomfortable as if it were a crime scene. If it is for safety, I would use another tape and explain why they are taped. I also cleaned out the bbq pit before we left as asked; however, it was not cleaned when we started our charcoal fire. Hopefully this will help in the future so that you will get the excellent rating. BTW neighbor waved at me while taking out the trash. We had no problems with them. I will be using Vrbo again! So easy and good! Thank you!

Summary: This cabin in located in a community, but because it is at the end of a deadend road, it feels like you are very secluded. There is a nice wrap-around porch, a grill, an outdoor fire pit, and a covered parking area; all nice amenities. It was clean and had a nice layout, with extremely comfortable beds. It is located near a boat ramp for accessing the lake. All-in-all, I'm looking forward to staying at this property again.

Summary: This is an amazing property. If you crave serenity, this is it. Others wrote about the wrap-around porch; it is truly perfect. We had all of our meals out there, practically in the middle of a forest! The house is great. The kitchen is adequate, but not ideal for cooking; it is very small. It wasn't an issue, but when we go back, we'll know. Nearby Lake Whitney State Park offers very beautiful trails (short ones).
