Summary: We were blown away by how comfortable and clean this home was for our needs. Located just a short walk from Lake Harold, it offered a convenient location while still feeling off the beaten path. The home sets back from the road with trees all around giving you added privacy. Some things we really loved and noticed are an update/bonus for the rental include: (1) Super convenient/easy check-in to the home and fast/easy communication with the owner when needed. (2) Fully loaded kitchen with every pot and pan you could need, plus baking pans and a slow cooker. We also appreciate the number and variety of plates, bowls, and cups. There are even a few plastic smaller items for little ones if desired. Plus, there were two cabinets empty and ready for food storage. (3) There were plenty of extra blankets and bedding so on cooler nights we could grab an extra layer if needed. Plus, there were lightweight blankets as well as heavier blankets so you could layer to just what you needed. (4) We had a 2-week stay at the cottage and found plenty of towels and washcloths on hand so while we could do laundry, we found it wasn't as necessary. Definitely, a well-stocked home as they also had some small amounts of laundry supplies had we not come prepared. I will definitely choose to stay here again in the future. It was welcoming, clean, and perfect for our needs. Other things of note: A short drive gets you to Gaylord with dozens of restaurants and stores. Mancelona is in the other direction and while it has fewer options, can still provide a few food and convenience options. No more than 25 minutes either way and you have access to anything you need. If you don't want to go out, you can utilize Instacart for grocery delivery from Aldi or Family Fare. There was no available restaurant delivery, but that wasn't expected anyway.

Summary: We had a wonderful time, the cottage was perfect! It was cozy and inviting, reminded me of a house my family had up north growing up. We had a great time showing our son where I use to spend summers when I was a kid. Can’t wait to go back and stay there again.

Summary: We were please the house, it looked just like the pictures. The house was very close to the beach so we just walked over to swim! Fab. water pressure in the showers.

Summary: Nice, quiet location for our golf trip. Well worth the additional 15-20minute drive to the courses. I prefer quieter places than the packed in facilities at the courses, and this was perfect for us.

Summary: One of the cleanest places we have ever stayed! Rooms were good sized and kitchen had great amenities. Loved the access to the clubhouse pool and giant hot tub after a long day of riding. Will definitely try to book this place again in the future.

Summary: The house was super clean and very safe for our 1.5 year old which was a huge relief. The house has a high chair that was so handy to have, baby towels and a pack and play. We brought our own pack and play but for those who don’t have the room to bring theirs I think this is a great thing to have! The house was very cold when we got there and took a while to heat up. Once it did heat up we were very comfortable in the house. The bedrooms are very spacious and the kitchen is well stocked. It had snowed overnight and the driveway was plowed first thing in the morning. The owners were responsive via phone when we had issues getting clubhouse passes. The house was a bit of drive from Gaylord with the high winds and icy roads but all in all it was a great house to stay at for the weekend.

Summary: We came up to go snowmobiling and unfortunately the snow conditions were not the greatest however, the accommodations were great and we were able to enjoy our time away in the comfortable setting!! Thank the homeowners for sharing their home away from home!
