Summary: Good place to just relax and go fishing! Lots of amenities. Lots of dishes, pots, cutlery - even for a large group! Huge property and lots of seating areas. Dock is excellent too - both for boating and looking out over the water.

Summary: What a delightful surprise to have all of our expectations surpassed. Our family of 6 had plenty of space to relax, connect and have fun together in a spotless and beautiful environment. Mona responded immediately to our requests. She treated us royally by providing an escape abounding with attention to detail in every way, from decor, kitchen and bathroom details, indoor/outdoor games and many little treats throughout the cottage. We look forward to returning for a longer stay next time!!!

Summary: This is an immaculate cottage in a beautiful location. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly want in a cottage rental and provided it. It is beautifully situated on the Winnipeg River and is a short 5-minute drive from Lac du Bonnet with access to stores and services. Though the current in the river is strong here, even kids can enjoy it with proper supervision. The kids also enjoyed the public beach at Lac du Bonnet, and there are great day trips to Seven Sisters, Pinawa, etc. Everything that was advertised in the listing was provided, and more. Thanks for a great experience.

Summary: Our family of 5 was very comfortable and very happy during our week-long stay at the Fisherman's Family Lodge. The cabin is super clean, thoughtfully decorated, and the hosts were kind and easy-to-reach. They made sure we were well looked after and we certainly felt welcome (great communication/discretely came and took outside garbage/filled outdoor watertank/lots of lovely towels, soap, games, sand toys...). In fact, we didn't think our teens would join us, but they ended up staying the entire week! We enjoyed bonfires, the sandbox, board games, ladder-ball, big meals together on the deck and in the sunroom....our big kids fished off the dock and caught many! The yard is lovely and there was more than enough fire wood and outdoor games to enjoy. We also brought our canoe for early-morning and evening paddles: the dock at the property made this super easy. We also enjoyed the quick trip to town to check out the farmers' market (Saturday) and to get ice-cream a few times. This was an EASY get away just a short drive from Winnipeg. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again!

Summary: The cabin is very roomy with lots of space for a large gathering which suited our needs. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

Summary: Awesome location. Very private. Hosts surprised us with a lovely welcome package. That was a nice touch. Lots of different sitting areas.

Summary: From the moment you view the driveway to walking in the cottage, the care and attention to detail the cottage owners put into the rental is very evident. It was so clean and well maintained! The small added personal touches just add to the experience. There are windows in every direction to allow for incredible views of the river, the grounds, the sandbox and the fire pit. The deck was a favourite spot with a partially covered area, outdoor dining and a propane fire pit when you want an instant fire. The one disappointment was the high river level did not allow for swimming or Kayaking off the dock. We were asked to bring life jackets , but not informed of this until a week before our booked week. I would say, other than the high water level,this cottage is perfect for a family with young teens or younger children.

Summary: My two adult children and their spouses and my husband needed to all get away where we could just enjoy each others company. The cottage we booked was absolutely everything we could imagine. Everything we needed was there. Just to sit and enjoy the view and comforts of home. We met the owner and she was helpful. It almost felt like we won the lottery.
