Summary: We booked for a last-minute Memorial Day weekend getaway. We hadn’t been to this part of the Blue Ridge mountains before and our usual locations were booked. I’m so glad, because this area was gorgeous. The neighborhood/resort itself has hiking trails, and we toured Grand Caverns, which we all liked even better than Luray Caverns. The cabin was perfect for our family of four and it was nice to have the convenience of the on-resort gas station and market, where we ordered a pizza our first night. We had a fantastic weekend and have already looked to see when we might book this cabin again in future.

Summary: When we first arrived, we found a dead mouse on the floor of the second floor bedroom. The listing also mentioned the property had a pool and a sauna. The day we arrived we found out from the property manager the pool is not available. The sauna didn't exist. We made the best of our trip, but I would have picked a different property had I known the listed amenities were not actually available.

Summary: Our group 60-something ladies thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Wintergreen & the cozy cabin we rented! It thru VRBO!! The cabin was rustic & cozy. We liked hanging out on the deck in the mornings and around the table or living room playing games & drinking wine!!

Summary: My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend in the cabin in the woods. The leaves were very colorful, and we spent most of the time exploring the surrounding areas in central Virginia. The cabin was perfect for us, and we really liked the quiet location.

Summary: I want to start of by saying that we have enjoyed our stay due to the surroundings of the house. Wintergreen Resort is an amazing place. We did not go to ski but hiked every day and we did no have to go off the mountain for hiking trails. The resort has tons of very nice hiking trails. We rent a lot of houses through VRBO and I have never written a negative review.... until now... The house itself is really in need of an update. It is old, small (much smaller than pictured and less beautiful than pictured too- the pictures are taken in HDR which gives a nicer look of the house). We had very low temperatures and it was hard to keep the house warm. The beds are so terrible ! We changed from room to room to see if we would be lucky but non of the queen beds were comfortable. The twin beds were better. The second bathroom has a shower but that is only for kids, an adult can not stand there. The internet is not stable at all there. We had to make a hotspot on our phones so our kids could go on internet. Before we left, I wrote the property manager to ask if there was a washing machine as we could not find that on VRBO. I never got an answer so I had to pack more clothes (We travelled by car so we try to travel light). Once we arrived we saw there was a washing machine and dryer. Not happy with the property manager at all! We would love to return to wintergreen but will not return to this property as long as no updates on this house are done. I would recommend to look for a similar property on the resort. The resort is amazing !
