A bright, cozy cottage in quiet and peaceful location close to the fishing harbor.
The cottage has a spacious deck and yard which backs up to woods. Downstairs is an open plan sitting, dinning room and kitchen as well as a small separate laundry room containing a washer and dryer. There are 2 bedrooms one with a King bed the other a Queen, there is also a small room adjoining the main bedroom which is equipped with a Twin bed.
There is a Smart TV in the living room and both bedrooms so you can login to your favorite streaming services as well a library of DVDs in the living room. There are books, games and puzzles to enjoy on a rainy day or cold winter evening.
A short walk along Harbor Rd will take you to the seasonal and rustic Jameson Point Lobster Company where you can enjoy freshly caught Friendship lobster and a variety
of other seafood meals. Also on Harbor Rd is Wallace's Market a general store and deli with everything you'll need during your stay from beer and wine to fresh fruit and vegetables and take out subs and pizza.
Please Note: This is an older property which has undergone extensive renovations however the bathroom and both bedrooms are located upstairs. The stairs are very steep and the cottage would not be suitable for someone who finds stairs to be challenging.

Summary: I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage and how well-appointed it was. Did not need to bring anything from home other than clothes and food. The cottage is in a great location to explore all of mid coast Maine. Acadia is a daytrip. It's also a wonderful place to just relax and unwind in the quiet fishing town of Friendship. The harbor is only a short distance. Wallace's right down the street has all necessities, including out-of-this-world wild blueberry ice cream! Lobster can be found there as well, or at the wharf. I wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Summary: This was more than we expected. So clean and everything you would want if you plan to cook your own meals. King size bed was very perfect! Quiet neighborhood- great walking! Nearby small market had everything you would need & more! Lobster & seafood at Jameson’s was amazing/ so fresh & delicious.

Summary: My sons and I stayed at this beautiful home while visiting my home town and my parents. Home was outfitted with everything one could need. It is beautifully decorated and super comfortable. The owners are quick to respond to all questions. Very cute market within walking distance. Also a seafood restraunt just down the road that is amazing. This is a must stay experience!!

Summary: What a wonderful cottage. We liked the location, it was convenient to the activities we wanted to pursue. There were plenty of books, games, puzzles and magazines about Maine. The kitchen was a great working space, with a gas range. We cook from scratch and find this to be very important. If I had to make a suggestion, a full length mirror would be a nice addition. The bedding was fantastic, rivaling any Hilton hotel. We look forward to returning.

Summary: Where to begin?! What a fabulous stay in this little gem of a cottage. It had everything we needed and so much more. The cottage had all of the clean and comfortable furnishings we needed (comfy beds, linens, blankets, etc), but it was the little touches that truly set this house apart (the reading materials, seasonal napkins, coffee, DVDs, etc.). Our boys loved the toys provided (what a fun surprise!), and I loved leafing through all of the cookbooks and reading materials. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked (and labeled!). The location was great for exploring the area, about 40 minutes to Camden, with beautiful drives. A couple things to note that are also clearly noted by the owners: the shower is very small/short, the only bathroom is upstairs, and the stairs are very steep. But the pros far outweigh those inconveniences. Also, if going in the offseason, know that the general store is the only close option for food/dinner. But it was well-stocked, the freshly-made pizza was delicious, and eating at the house was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Summary: We had everything we were looking for...quiet fishing village in a neighborhood close to daily sightseeing drives. The home was so comfortable and provided above and beyond what we needed. Lots of movies with blankets to curl up in, well stocked kitchen. This would be a perfect place anytime of year. The hosts were exceptional with information they provided.

Summary: We loved our time at this quaint, cozy, and comfortable cottage close drive to the water. The hosts have provided high-quality amenities to meet our every need, from cushy beds to stocked kitchen. This is the best VRBO property we have stayed at in 15 years of many accommodations. Due to the steep stairs, not recommended for someone with limited mobility.

Summary: Tina and Dottie's cottage has absolutely everything you need for a home-like stay. This isn't one of those vacation homes that has three towels, one pot, one pan and salt and pepper. They have thought of everything and more. The kitchen is a dream to cook in! Just bring all of your main ingredients and cook a wonderful meal in the kitchen and on the grill. There are DVD's, books, games and wifi to watch anything you want. There's a great backyard and deck with rocking chairs and a gazebo with a table. The beds were comfy and there are plenty of fans (I need a fan to sleep). The bathroom is small but typical of old New England homes and has everything you need and functioned perfectly for the four adults in our party. Check in was so easy and Tina was always available if needed. Friendship is a very small town with only one small store for provisions. If you want that authentic Maine lobster experience fortunately Jameson Point Lobster Co is right around the corner. It's the real deal. The food is amazing and I had the best fish tacos outside of Mexico and So Cal. Bottom line: if you want to get away from the hubbub of life, stay at Tina and Dottie's cottage. We definitely plan on going back and am so glad we found it!

Summary: We had a fabulous 4 days in Maine with this terrific home as our base. So much to see nearby. Authentic working fishing villages, tons of art and unique shops with visits to lighthouses and museums. Highly recommended.
