Summary: We had a wonderful 3 night stay with our small family of 4 and dogs. Cabin is not far from Hershey which was a great time! We relaxed with board games by the water on property, and enjoyed a cozy movie in the living room. 10/10 would recommend!

Summary: My husband and two and a half year old dog came with us and had such an amazing getaway vacation! We haven't been on vacation all together in a little over a year. And to get away from the hustle and bustle of this day and age it was just absolutely perfect! From the cabin to the outside pavilion to having coffee every single morning by the waterfront and to having a line in the water and fire pits each evening.. we could not have been a happier family. Thank you for sharing this beautiful and exceptional place with the world. We will 100% return!

Summary: Wonderful location with a great pavilion right next to the creek. We spent literally every drop of daylight outside fishing, swimming, relaxing. It really was a great trip that went by WAY too fast. We only had one issue and the host was very responsive - it was fixed the next morning (not trip ruining by any means). We cannot wait to return!

Summary: Firstly, I wished to compliment both the main guest contact Sean, as well as the Evolve (prop mgmt) folks I interacted with. I went back and forth about a number of things, and they were amazingly accommodating and kind. The property was as described. Its a really cute little cabin, with 3 main rooms/area. The pavilion creekside was where we spent most of our time - first thing every AM we were sitting in the pavilion, listening to the babbling of the creek, coffee in hand, with a line in the water. There were not a lot of fish to catch, but we did get a couple. But it was wonderfully refreshing and relaxing. It also felt a bit private, we saw some folks across the creek once or twice. The place certainly had all the basic kitchen needs:an oven/range, a drip coffee maker with kcup brewer, microwave, toaster oven. Dauphin pizza place was great, Stoney Creek Inn was picturesque w/ tasty food This is a great value. My only complaint I could muster up is that the water pressure is not great. Its certainly enough to get a shower though. Probably related - they do ask you conserve water (they explain why in the cabin book). This is a good value. I did want to address a couple of issues I read elsewhere. It was easy to find using Waze, took us right to it. We saw only three ants inside, so if there was an ant problem it was taken care of. The bed mattresses were softer than at home (I do have lower back issues), but we both were able to sleep in them fine with no pain.

Summary: This precious cabin in the woods had EVERYTHING to make for a magical nature vacation for our family. The cabin is clean, fully stocked, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Having abundant linens and towels was wonderful. The location was so peaceful. While there is another rental property next door, it is separated by a huge yard and a line of trees. Plenty of privacy. The covered pavilion by the creek has comfy seating, dining and even electric should you need it. The creek was deep enough for the kids to tube on, and shallow enough that they could wade in. They caught tons of crayfish, baby fish and a couple of fat bull frogs (all were released)! The trail at the top of the driveway wandered through the woods full of all kinds of flora and fauna. It led to a beautiful meadow of wildflowers and butterflies. The property manager were amazing to work with and very accommodating. Couldn't have been better. If you want to unplug and experience all the wonders of nature but with comfort then rent this place! Added benefit - Instacart delivers there!! Can't wait to come back next year.

Summary: The cabin was a bit smaller than it looks online. The grass was tall and the side of the creek to fish was a bit grown up. We had to deal with black ants and bugs with pinchers the whole time but other than that is was an ok stay.

Summary: Stoney Cabin is beautiful and exactly as described in the listing. It sits on a delightful stream and was clean and well appointed. Prior to our stay, we received detailed driving instructions to access the property via a one lane gravel private drive. We followed these instructions and didn’t have any trouble, but I do think that the situation in the neighborhood should be disclosed in the rental listing. There are multiple “private drive, dead end, private property, no trespassing” signs along the single lane gravel road, a stone boundary right at the edge of the road, and two gigantic homemade speed bumps. There are several private residences on the way to Stoney Cabin at the very end of the road. On our second time passing the ranch home next to the improvised speed bumps, an older man walked out of his front door carrying a hunting rifle. He crossed the road and shot something. This is a rather normal experience in rural PA, but paired with the aggressive signage and speed bumps, we were uncomfortable driving to and from Stoney Cabin. I worried that the man was going to be blocking the road with his rifle every time we left the cabin. As we were preparing to leave, we noticed the trail head next to the dumpster at the end of the road. We didn’t have time for a hike anyway, but I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the yard of the property because the neighborhood was extremely unwelcoming and seemed confrontational if a vacationer stepped out of line.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the Creekside Stoney Cabin! Our son was married at the Manor at Mountainview on Fishing Creek Road and the cabin was a short 15 minute drive from the venue and from everything we needed to do and see! We were 20 minutes from The Millworks in Harrisburg. They have awesome food, by the way! All creature comforts were available. All linens, blankets and towels were provided. There were games and tv, but the best part was the covered patio close to the creek. We fished and had a lot of fun when we had down time from the wedding events. We loved the quiet and nature setting. We saw a Momma and baby ducklings on our way out the drive and cardinals and blue jays each morning! If you want an out of the way vacation in nature, this is the place to go! In the woods, but still close enough to go out and enjoy all the Harrisburg area has to offer!

Summary: We stayed for a whole week at the Hemlock cabin. We used it as a base for exploring the nearby areas, with Hershey being one of them. The cabin was great, overall! Beautiful spot on the river, being the last house before a nice trail into the woods. We fished like crazy and my daughter caught her first trout. Lots of down time, aka in the woods, and board games while at the cabin. We ventured into a Hershey to do all things chocolate there. We hiked to Hawk Rock Overlook, only 20 minutes from the cabin, totally worth it!! We did the Falconry Experience at Hotel Hershey-highly recommend! The cabin was good to us for the week, except for the queen bed. The mattress was awful-my husband and I both woke with back pain each morning and struggled to sleep soundly. And while we had most necessities in the kitchen, some larger pans or a griddle would’ve been nice. Cooking pancakes for four was challenging! Pots and pans could use an upgrade. Other than those things…we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
