Positive: Stunning both outside and inside. Attention to detail is second to none and it’s clear to see that the owner wants to ensure that the needs of guests are catered for. Very well equipped and immaculately clean. The lovely lady whom you’ve to contact should you need any assistance goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect (sorry, I can’t remember how to spell your name but I think it is Kirsty in Gaelic). The property and Kirsty truly deserve 5 stars. The best privately owned holiday home I have had the pleasure to stay in.

Positive: Staying near Loch Ness felt magical from the second we arrived — but the log burner is what made it unforgettable. After days exploring the Highlands, coming back to that warm glow, the sound of the fire crackling, and the smell of burning wood was pure luxury. It wasn’t just cosy — it was cinematic. The setting was breathtaking. Mist rolling over Loch Ness in the morning, dramatic skies at sunset, total stillness at night — it felt like we had stepped into another world. You don’t just visit somewhere like this, you feel it. The cottage managed to be both wild and indulgent at the same time — rugged Scottish scenery outside, roaring fire and total comfort inside. It was romantic, peaceful, and genuinely restorative. It didn’t feel like a break. It felt like an experience you talk about for years.
