Positive: The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. The room and the bedding were clean. There was plenty of parking.

Negative: The room we were in and the communal areas such as corridors and stairs were looking very tired. The bed was a bit hard for our liking, but that can be put down to personal preference. The curtains may as well be made of tissue paper so by 4am in the middle of June, it was daylight in the room. The bath had been repaired and there was a leak at the back of the toilet that was dealt with by putting a saucer under it to catch the water! All in all, we found it pretty disappointing, especially as it was not particularly cheap.

Summary: Friendly staff and good breakfast but the hotel is past it's best

Positive: Fantastic. Staff are amazing. Breakfast is amazing. Room was lovely. Only pointer, updating the old carpets in the bathroom for hygiene purposes. Carpets in bathrooms hold so many germs. It was very clean in fairness, but that update would make it that little bit better.

Positive: Good quality room with en suite, TV and tea/coffee facilities. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Plenty of parking. Good wifi.

Negative: It was a hot night so it was a shame the landing radiators were full on, also in the restaurant radiators full on when no need. Thermostatic valves had been removed or fallen off. Seems a waste of energy with windows and doors fully open. Generally a but tired and needs a lick of paint on the window frames.

Summary: Comfortable stay for our one night in Great Chesterford.

Positive: Clean, comfortable, reasonably spacious room. Friendly staff. Good amount of space to park vehicle. Decent full English breakfast options.

Negative: Awful mattress (v saggy!) - needs replacing Bathroom recently renovated and very clean, but water pressure in the shower was very poor.
