Summary: We have stayed here several times over the las 10 yeas, and we did notice that the rooms are still the same as they were back then, a bit tired. Front desk staff were fabulous.

Summary: "Grand Dame with Room for Improvement" This hotel has the potential to be truly exceptional, with a classic, old-world charm. However, our recent stay during a busy period left us feeling somewhat disappointed. We were particularly looking forward to relaxing by the pool, but unfortunately, it was consistently overcrowded. The pool area simply seems undersized for the hotel's capacity. The check-in process also lacked a welcoming touch. Upon arrival, we weren't greeted by any staff and had to request a luggage trolley ourselves. Our room was decent and clean, but the nightly rate of $700 felt excessive. It was an odd experience to find a bathtub with shower functionality but no bath soap provided. The breakfast, however, was a definite highlight and we highly recommend including it in your booking.

Summary: The staff were really good. We were allocated a very average room and when I called reception they did the best they could you relocate us. Still not great but definitely better. Beaches restaurant had changed their menu from a week prior which was disappointing. We are very regular stayers and would like to be recognised regularly not just when we book multiple rooms. We go with hotels.com as their reward program is more immediate and flexible even tho I am a gold IHG member

Summary: This property is clearly the highest quality hotel in the region, and the price often reflects that. However, you get a largest and extremely comfortable room with a balcony to the sea and you are directly across the street from the beach with uninterrupted views. Staff who have been there a while always remember me, which is nice. The hotel has restaurants, bars, high-quality spa services, pools, etc, and the surrounds of downtown Terrigal offer a multitude of restaurants, night spots, gift stores, and the beach. I have usually left a very favourable review, though last time I was there (more than a year ago), I was disappointed that the extensive and high-quality full-buffet breakfast was not what it used to be. This time, however, the breakfast had returned to its full glory, and I was very happy sitting with my picture-window sea view, with my made-to-order coffee, and a full array of cooked food, pastries, fruit, etc. The Central Coast doesn't have enough hotels, and doesn't have anything else at the level of Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, so if you can afford to and have a vehicle to get around, book here.
