Negative: The rooms was unclean and old but for the price it was adequate.

Positive: Friendly staff, good location near railway station and local shops, decent food in pub, quiet, comfortable. Really appreciated the upgrade to a room with air conditioning!
Negative: As other reviewers have commented, the place has seen better days. I'm aware that renovations are planned/ongoing but there were also issues with the cleanliness and facilities of the shared bathroom and the common room. My main concern is the accuracy of this listing - this is a reasonable budget accommodation but it is clearly not 3 stars and the included breakfast doesn't appear to be functional (the fridge was broken and the whole set up appeared neglected).

Positive: It was cheap and it was nice to not have to worry about breakfast. It was also a quite nice half way point between Canberra and Melbourne, and also not to much of a detour. The common room had a fridge and the continental breakfast was always accessible so I could have breakfast early. The bar was nice and it was nice to have the option of having dinner there.
Negative: Online the reviews said it was under new management and therefore better and renovated. I didn’t see much of the renovations. All the carpets were old and stained. It was nice to have a common area but I couldn’t even recline the chair because of all the spider webs on the side. The window of my room wasn’t really a window because the room was in the middle of the building, so it looked out on a hallway. Although there was some fresh air coming through the whole in the roof.
