English Creek Retreat is located just 2.5 miles South of the town of Knoxville on Highway 14. Surrounded by alfalfa fields, this studio has a back country feel while being only a quarter mile off of the main highway.
Wildlife, especially deer, can be viewed in the early morning and evening in the alfalfa fields surrounding the studio. Several self landscaped flower gardens as well as a vegetable garden can be viewed at your pleasure.
English Creek Retreat offers easy access to the nearby towns of Knoxville and Pella, which offer many seasonal activities such as sprint car races and tulip time. The capitol of Iowa, Des Moines, is only 40 miles away and offers all varieties of shopping and dining options.
The studio and the main house are separated but on the same acreage so guests can enjoy the privacy of their own space while still having as much interaction with the hosts as they desire.
We have one dog and farm cats which are free to roam around the acreage so we do not allow pets. All of the animals are easygoing and family friendly.
