Pocket Full Of Shells is located on the barrier island of North Captiva Island, Pocket Full Of Shells is an upscale, non-smoking, beach-view home that offers four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. It is professionally decorated, has a heated swimming pool, hot tub and full sized outdoor kitchen featuring large gas grill, sink, two large refrigerated drawers and an ice machine. The pristine beaches of North Captiva Island are an effortless 2 minute walk from our front door. Rental comes with two golf cart.
The Space:
Our home offers every amenity for its guests, including wifi with streaming live television, DVDs and digital movie collection, lots of pool and beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and an array of card and board games for all ages. The house has all necessary small-wares from coffee maker for both drop and K-Cups, blender, and every kitchen knick knack needed.
The first level of Pocket Full Of Shells has three large bedrooms, two with King beds and one with 2 Full beds. The master has an ensuite bathroom, and there is an additional full bathroom on this level. The second floor is the kitchen/dining/living area and has a fully-equipped kitchen with all the dishes, cutlery, pots and pans you will need along with a brand new refrigerator and dishwasher. Our beautiful dining table seats 6 comfortably but can easily flex to sit 8.
Enjoy some time with family and friends watching your favorite show or sports on the 65" television in the living area or head out to the lanai area for some great conversation. Our glass slider fully opens to connect the living area and the fully screened lanai area. From the living area there is a spiral staircase that leads to a loft bedroom with two Full beds and a 49" television and small desk equipped with a scanner/printer that is mobile ready should you need to print anything.
A telescope is available to view the night sky - and viewing is easy when walking out to the huge open deck that opens up from the loft bedroom. We have several Adirondack chairs out here for you to relax and have wonderful conversation under the magnificent star filled sky. Pocket Full Of Shells sleeps 8 people comfortably but can accommodate 9 easily with the included air mattress. We typically cap the number of guests at 9, but do not count toddlers under 4 or babies against that guest count. We do have a pack n play and high chair along with many toys appropriate for babies/toddlers at the house.

Summary: Our family had a very enjoyable stay at this home. We had a 4, 6, and 13 year old as well as 6 adults in our party. Upon arrival someone was at the dock to greet us, even though we arrived earlier than anticipated. The house was clean and comfortable and well stocked. The furniture and appliances are very nice. The property managers checked on us throughout the week to make sure everything was going well. The outdoor area of this home is wonderful! We really appreciated the screened in area arround the pool, hot tub, and kitchen area. They have a very nice outdoor shower to get all the sand off after a visit to the beach. When it rained in the afternoons there was plenty of room for us all without feeling crowded. The younger kids appreciated the legos and other activities at the house. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Summary: Beautiful experience! Would return! Loved the pool area! Wonderful views! Kitchen had more than we could have asked for. Great house! Our children grew up here. Great blessing to return with them and our grandchildren. Lots of games and pool toys for kids. Hope to come back.

Summary: House was amazing, Becca & Bill who manage the property are a big reason we we seek it back out and return. Particularly in a place like North Captiva the property managers have such an impact on the stay! Very responsive, so helpful, and the items in the home all make for an amazing trip. Great shampoo & body washes in the bathrooms, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, dishwasher tabs, a cabinet FULL of spices, and a very well stocked (and thankfully not used by us) first aid kit from benadryl to bandaids. Home is extremely clean and linens were nice! There are tons of beach chairs, umbrellas, massive pile of sand toys, several masks and snorkels, boogie boards, and floats for the pool. You really just need your swim suit - even sunscreen and big spray was in the hall right when you come in. Outdoor kitchen was PERFECT - and we used it a ton, plus you have extra fridge space there too which was a big help for us. Smart TVs had tons of content for kiddos to watch when we needed a little down time. And the golf carts were super easy to use and have codes vs keys so there's nothing to worry about losing when you are at the beach. The transfers to and from the docks with our stuff - literally couldn't have been easier, they showed up with smiles and a trailer, loaded up our stuff and away we went. We CANNOT wait to come back! Oh did I metion - a TON of baby and kids items. High chair. 2 gates for the stairs (GIANT HELP), pack and play, plus a TON of toys for toddlers and even bigger kids - massive stock pile of legos, and more games than you could ever imagine. We played everything from Yahtzee, to Candy Land, Battleship, to Life. Oh - did I mention how awesome both the owners and property managers are at communicating with you - help with anything you need to make sure you have a perfect trip. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

Summary: The entire process was seamless. The North Cap Crew made sure everything was taken into consideration to make our stay as stress free as possible (the gifted key lime pie was a BONUS). Mike and Piper just happened to be on the island during our stay, and were so kind! They even brought us a delicious breakfast pastry:) The house was everything we expected it to be, the screened in pool deck and porch adjacent the living room/kitchen were amazing and a must have to keep the bugs at bay. Everything was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. We did most of our cooking on the grill area poolside which was a definite plus. Would stay here again! We hope to visit again next year:)

Summary: Mike and his team were very informative from the day we rented the property till we were headed home from our amazing time on North Captiva. We loved everything about the house. Fully loaded with top of the line equipment. We loved our float time in the pool to the golf cart rides to watch the sunset! We look forward to our return to Pocket Full of Shells!

Summary: Comfortable beds, clean, stocked with everything you need! Great location...just a few minutes walk to the beach for snorkeling and sunsets. We had 8 adults in our group and the house had plenty of comfortable spaces to visit and retreat to. We especially enjoyed the enclosed pool, jacuzzi, and cooking area where we spent most of our time. The owner and Becca were amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed to make our first stay on the island comfortable. Saw dolphins and manatees! Would absolutely stay here again. Loved it!

Summary: We stayed at Pocket Full of Shells for 6 nights in March. The house was pleasantly furnished with more than we expected: shampoo and body wash, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, cooking spices, plenty of plate settings, and my favorite a Sonos system throughout the house. My wife and I stayed with 7 teenage girls and there was enough bedrooms and showers to accommodate all of us. The property managers were were very accessible for any questions that we had and we even had communications with the owner when we hid a slight hiccup. My wife and I would highly recommend this property for anyone trying to relax in paradise!

Summary: House and property were maintained extremely well. Loved the outdoor kitchen/bar that wrapped into the screened in pool area. We had guests visit, and couldn't have asked or a better accommodation for everyone...even on the one colder rainy day, the upstairs dining room to living room to screened in lanai was perfect for having a puzzle day and eating in. Everything was a short stroll down a sandy lane, but the newer golf carts worked without problem the entire two weeks there for an easy zip around/explore. Sunrise on the upper deck/crows nest, and then a short walk to sunset on the Gulf-great location. A nice hike in either direction of the beach. The owners and property managers were great and completely approachable, making this property feel more like home.

Summary: The location was exactly as described. The home was beautiful. We give the home 4/5 stars due to the clods of hairs randomly floating in the pool and on the pool deck. The owners were terrific; however we had and still have difficultly with the property management company, who has not responded to multiple emails and texts regarding obtaining receipts for our grocery purchases.
