2 Bedroom Cottage in Carterton

The Cottage is tucked away down a long drive. It's exactly four minutes drive to Carterton shopping area and four minutes the other way to Greytown. There are special things on every day in the Wairarapa, its a vibrant area and only an hour from Wellington city should you want to head to the bright lights. The train service both North and South is great, you don't have to drive if you would prefer not to. We also have some stunning Coastline, Light houses, seals lying around on the rocks and whitebait fritters at Lake Ferry.
Our Cottage is not posh or fancy, however, its got everything you need with Sky TV, great wine glasses, good linen, heaps of books with a reading nook, warmth and plenty of light. We have tried to get that "charming" feeling with a mixture of old and new. Yes we do have jigsaws if it rains. There is plenty of room to park, a semi rural outlook with a pony or two in the paddock next door. We have an acre of land for the kids to run around on.
The Cottage has a deck, just right for sitting on in the evenings, glass of wine in hand and views to the hills. We would love to be able to make our place your favourite "go to" for all your holidays and short breaks.

Summary: This little cottage was a beautiful little place to stay, with sheep and rabbits to greet us, and amazing hospitality with fresh bread, milk, eggs and other food staples. Also great for kids with toys and games galore.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at your cottage. It was warm and relaxing in a lovely rural setting. Also plenty of space for two energetic boys to burn of energy. Summary: We visited for a long, very wet weekend but were very cosy and warm in this lovely little cottage! It is incredibly well-equipped with everything you could possibly need and is surprisingly spacious. We very much appreciated the generosity of the hosts in supplying a bottle of wine, eggs and bacon and a freshly-baked loaf as well as a lovely platter of meats and cheeses with grapes, crackers, hummus and pesto. There were also plenty of other supplies available if needed. We would gave no hesitation in recommending the Winedrinkers' Cottage and will be back in October! Thank you so much.

Summary: Really lovely place to bring my family from Sydney to. Owner Barry could not have been more helpful and I especially appreciated his prompt replies. Very tasty nibbles, fruit and wine left to welcome us. Thoroughly recommended.

Summary: This Cottage is everything it is advertised to be and more. Well situated, easy to follow instructions made it easy to find. The setting is peaceful and private, and quite pretty. The Cottage itself is adorable tastefully furnished, clean, homely and very comfortable, but what stands out the most is the hospitality, 2nd to none, and very much appreciated by myself and my family. We would love to return for a longer stay at some point and will be sharing our experience of our stay with others. Thank you so much.

Summary: We had a fabulous weekend and throughly recommend the Wine Drinkers Cottage to all. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the complimentary platter and wine/beer and will definitely be back. Amazing hosts and an amazing venue.

Summary: The owner went out of their way to be helpful and hospitable. Heaters were turned on so the cottage was warm and inviting on arrival. Many delightful offerings in the kitchen, thank you. A couple of possibilities for upgrading would be higher quality linen and more comfortable lounge furniture, but the cottage is priced appropriately for what is there.
