Summary:
Little Gasparilla Island is a bridge-less barrier island off Florida's West Coast. Access is by private boat or water taxi only, which means our beaches are uncrowded, our fishing is great, our island is unspoiled and your vacation can be exactly what you want it to be.
The Space:
Cuttlefish Cottage is a stunning newer home, thoughtfully designed and planned to offer the ultimate beach house experience, with maximum convenience.
A large, screened porch extends the full width of the home on the south side, and a delightful sun bathing balcony with two chaise lounges overlooks the Gulf. The views of the Gulf from the porch beckon you to the beach, just a few short steps away. Downstairs, an outdoor shower allows you to rinse off and leave the sand outdoors.
Inside, this home is designed with every comfort in mind. There is a large eat-in kitchen plus a table on the porch for outdoor dining, The kitchen flows into the living area with comfortable seating and lovely views of island foliage.
The master bedroom features a queen size bed, en suite bath and gulf views. The second bedroom offers a king size bed and has doors that open to the screened porch. The third bedroom offers two twins that can be combined to form another king. The second and third bedroom share the guest bath.
The owners provide paddle boards, kayaks, and an outdoor ping pong table! And, if you would like to rent a golf cart to explore the island, we may be able to offer one, subject to availability.
*Please be aware that we can not permit guests to check in or check out the same day another guest will be occupying the property. We require at least 24 hours of vacancy between each reservation.

Pet Policy - pet-friendly with $100 non-refundable fee per pet. Max weight 30 LB. Due to insurance restrictions, the following breeds are NOT permitted: Akita, American Bull Dog, Beaucerons, Caucasian Mountain Dog, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinchers, German Shepherds, Great Danes, Keeshounds, Pit Bull, Staffordshire Terriers, Presa Canarios or Rottweilers.

Boat Slip - included on dock number 51 (this is also where the water taxi will drop you off) —24 ft. boat limit.

The Neighborhood:
This home is on a bridgeless barrier island. You can NOT drive to the island. There are no stores or commercial facilities, but there is grocery delivery service available.
Getting Around:
You must take the water taxi ($10 per person each way during regular daytime hours) or bring a boat (dock slip included). 24 foot limit on all boats at dock 51.
Other Things to Note:
Please evaluate your expectations before booking a stay on Little Gasparilla Island. If you are expecting a polished "resort" atmosphere, Little Gasparilla is decidedly more rustic. During periods of heavy rain or tropical storms, there may be standing water on the roadways, at the dock and around the house. This is a tropical environment with mosquitos, rust, power outages and other minor inconveniences. If you are expecting resort amenities and services, the island might not be for you.
Interaction with Guests:
We are based on-island and have an on island guest services manager and grocery service in case you need anything during your stay. Maintenance issues require a handyman coming from the mainland, so repairs may take a bit longer than you are used to. On the island, our mantra is "go-with-the-flow"!

Summary: The house was beautiful, clean, thoughtfully supplied, and a fantastic location. I can't wait to come back! Our family had an amazing week at Cuddlefish. We explored, took naps, went to the beach, played board games, watched movies, ordered pizza, cooked meals in the beautiful and well-stocked kitchen, read books in the hammock, and even walked to a very sweet church service in an adorable chapel just down the path. The stay made my much-anticipated 40th birthday absolutely INCREDIBLE!

Summary: Cuttlefish Cottage set the stage for such a wonderful vacation for our family. You cannot believe how well stocked this house is!! The location is spectacular, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house is so stylish and tastefully appointed, you would think you were staying in a celebrity’s beach-house. Summary: This property is better than described. All new, modern and well thought out. The house is extremely well stocked with anything that you could need. We can’t say enough good things about this property. This was our first trip to LGI and it definitely impressed. Very friendly people and plenty to do. The beach is beautiful and excellent for shelling. Great fishing, paddle boarding, or just relaxing and doing nothing. The teenagers even enjoyed it.

Summary: We had such an amazing time! The house was impecable , Well stocked - the owners thought of everything! It was so perfect for enjoying the warm evenings at the end of our day, several little places to sit and chat or read or play, it was wonderful. Thank you for being pet friendly our puppies had the time of their lives. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Summary: This rental exceeded our expectations. The pictures made it look great, but once we got there, it was way better than the pictures were able to portray. Super clean! Extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly think of. The kids were never bored with all the games, books, movies, beach/water equipment. We will definitely rent this home again.

Summary: This is the most beautiful, new home. Definitely one of the nicest on LGI. Well-equipped is an understatement. Great walk to the beach and perfect location on the island. The kayaks, SUPs and fat-tire bikes were so great to have included and we enjoyed all the DVDs, games and ping pong table! What a great place to spend a week. We miss island life already!
