Positive: The building itself is charming, with a lovely garden that makes a great first impression.
Negative: Considering the high price and the range of other options in Białowieża, this is not good value for money. The rate of €90 per night creates some expectations that simply aren’t met — at that price point, more comfort and quality should be offered. The room didn’t live up to expectations. It was furnished in a very dated and cheap style, and the pillows were unusually large and uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. There was also a persistent unpleasant smell in both the room and the common kitchen area, likely due to poor ventilation — the windows are so small that it's difficult to air the space out properly. Noise isolation was another issue: we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms. To make matters worse, the shared kitchen is located right in front of most of the rooms, so any activity there, especially early or late, is very disturbing. One of the main reasons we chose this place was because it advertised breakfast, which is rare in Białowieża. However, just one day before our arrival — when it was too late to cancel — the owner informed us that due to a last-minute staffing issue caused by illness in the delivery team, breakfast would no longer be available. We were offered either a refund for the breakfast or the option to go to another hotel 800m away for it, which wasn’t very convenient.

Positive: The automatic self check-in was really useful for us arriving at night. We received codes to the house door and apartment/room door. Everything went exceptionally smoothly. The owner was very friendly asking us if we feel comfortable and saw him patiently solving problems of other guests. The kitchen had everything you need, also free coffee from the coffee machine.

Positive: We enjoyed the location of this house and felt it was perfect for visiting the park. The town is charming and it put us in a central location to be able to go hiking and visit the bison reserve. Check in was super easy and the owners were very communicative and provided several food recommendations and park details. As a bonus, our kids loved the foosball table in the house!
Negative: There wasn't much in the way of toiletries for guests in the bathrooms. This was not a big deal to us because we came prepared with our own.
