Summary: The property is located in an excellent location close to the bay and the beach. The house has a lot of space and a lot of bedrooms. The issue is that the house needs to be torn down and rebuilt. There is a significant amount of projects needed around the house to include insect removal, mold removal, replacing simple things like the soap holders in the bathrooms and racks for towels. Everything is falling apart. The lower part of the house is connected to the top part only via a very narrow spiral staircase. I would not recommend small children in this area. That lower deck is absolutely lovely, but the upper deck is also falling apart with major amount of projects needed. In short, I would never recommend staying in this location and we should receive a significant discount for staying there and paying what we paid.

Summary: Don's home is a great house in a super location. We met Don and he is so nice. It is an older home with older kitchen cabinets, furniture, etc. Mattresses were comfortable. AC was incredible. Sofas were newer and comfy but needed some cleaning attention. Bathrooms need to be updated. Towel bars, soap dishes and toothbrush holders were loose and in need of repair. The biggest suggestion I have, and I spoke personally to Don about this - is to declutter and get rid of personal items in the home. I would stay here again. The home also needs a deep cleaning. Don's home is a good value and pet friendly.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at D’Light House! The house was perfect for our large family. It was a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed big meals in the great room on the main level. We used a nice gas grill on the deck for one of our dinners. We were able to comfortably sleep the entire group. Those of us working remotely during the vacation could find quiet spaces away from others. We rented kayaks for the week and also crabbed off the dock. The host was very communicative and the property manager was immediately responsive. Thank you for a great family reunion! We will definitely return to this lovely home in South Bethany Beach.

Summary: The house was perfect for our large group of adults, with enough space for everyone/every couple to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The location is very walkable to South Bethany and the parking pass was helpful for ferrying larger items to the beach. We appreciated the grill and the outdoor shower as well. Communication was clear with Don and check-in was very easy.

Summary: We loved our stay at this home. The house was as described. This should be a great rental for anyone looking for a big space for a large group. The big dinning table was great, and beds were comfortable. We love the area easy walking distance to many places, including the beach. We would definitely recommend!

Summary: Our family had a very good week at this property. We were a group of nine: 6 adults and 3 children, plus a dog. There was plenty of room for us to be together at times and to have our own spaces as well. The house is about a 7-10 minute walk from Bethany Beach, which was never crowded during our stay. We were all pleased with the D'Light House.

Summary: D’Light house was in a great location for our family for what we enjoy doing, which is crabbing, clamming, fishing and close enough to walk to the beach. The kitchen was pretty well equipped with plates, glasses, mugs, pots and pans and utensils. It lacked containers for leftovers, which I guess we should have thought to bring those. Definitely does not have any spices, which was fine we purchased our own. The rest of the house was plenty big however it was packed full of so much stuff of the owners that it made it seem small and not enough room for all of our stuff. The layout of the house is odd. If you want to go downstairs you either have to down a VERY narrow spiral staircase or go outside and down the outside steps and around to the first floor doors. The furniture is all very outdated and stained, we put sheets over the couches so we felt more comfortable sitting on them. Most of the beds were so uncomfortable most of us were woke up very sore every morning. The dining room table is very nice though, it accommodated our whole family of 12. It was nice having so many bedrooms and bathrooms however they were all dirty and could tell they hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. The house had a nice deck and dock for our boat and nice deck furniture. The only problem out there was the bushes all around the deck are very overgrown and taken over the entire area, you could barely get through the path to get to the deck. This house has the potential be wonderful.

Summary: We love the area easy walking distance to many places. Loved hanging out on the deck its very spacious inside. We had great beach weather. The inside was not very clean more dust than what we have experienced in other vacay rentals. But we still had a great time together. Thank you.

Summary: The house is the perfect size for large groups, the big dinning table was great, and beds were comfortable. However it's crowded with unnecessary furniture. The main sliding door which leads to the stairs was extremely difficult to open and close. Upon arrival we found the house had not been cleaned properly - dirty kitchen countertop, dirty bathroom sink, a pancake in the pullout sofa bed!!
