Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The house was charming, especially the kitchen, dining room and bedrooms. It was very quiet. Nice to be in the countryside. The patio table and chairs were very nice to use once the weather cooled down. The dishes and glassware were wonderful! Plenty of variety. The upstairs bathroom with two sinks a shower and a pretty claw-footed tub was nice. It was also great having so much closet space. There was plenty of parking. It was good to have a washing machine for a week’s stay. The location was excellent. The sauna room must be wonderful in the cold months.

Negative: We had not understood the bathroom situation until we arrived. The upstairs bathroom can be used by two of the three bedrooms upstairs, as it has two doors to it. That kind of situation works best with children and adults in a family group; unfortunately not so well for our group. One couple used the adjoining bathroom and the other three guests had to go downstairs to the only other bathroom.

Summary: Charming, beautifully decorated and equipped antique farmhouse in the incomparable Salzkammergut.
