Negative: Well, I had booked a room in the castle, but due to some renovation issues, we were quite surprised to find out at check in that we had been moved to the lodge. This castle hotel night was a bit of a splurge for us, and we had been looking forward to it for some time. The whole point was to stay in a castle! We were given a complimentary dinner, which was nice, but we never did get to stay in a castle. Regards, James White.
Summary: No Castle Room

Positive: Elegant refurbished castle/hotel. One of the rooms was on the top floor and had a nice balcony with a view of the surrounding area. Rooms were quite spacious. Breakfast was quite good.
Negative: No elevators in the building. Very limited options for dining. While I understand they refurbished a castle, the rooms are a bit dated.
Summary: Unique experience but wouldn't do it again.
