Positive: The staff were very helpful and friendly, making me feel at home. I had beautiful cooked meals by the fire. Breakfast and dinner were great. It’s a calm location out in some farmland. It was a fun experience to stay in a guesthouse away from the tourist beat.

Negative: The pool is no longer operable and looks nothing like the photos. The accom was a bit more expensive relative to what I paid elsewhere in Tunisia.

Positive: Not much. It was very quiet. The owner offered to make a simple meal for us as everything in town was closed due to Eid holidays. Food was mediocre as was the breakfast the next morning.

Negative: Room AC did not work. Had to convince owner to change room. Absentee owner and manager. The local staff could not communicate. The place was not clean. The pool was closed. The owner only communicated via WhatsApp and would not accept credit cards. The Dar is about 5 miles from El Kef.

Summary: As good as it gets in El Kef. Not worth it.
