Positive: Super convenient location - right in the middle of the Tunis Medina. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, such as offering airport transport at a small fee, giving us advice on where to travel in the city, and they also went as far as preparing us a to-go breakfast at 4am as we had to leave super early. The place is pretty much a hostel so expect a hostel level of comfort, but it is so full of character and charm that it is worth it.

Negative: My only gripe is that it got a bit toasty at night. The AC wasn't able to be turned on and, for some reason, someone had left the radiator on and we didn't realise until the room was boiling.

Positive: a great place for your first stay in Tunis as teh staff is very helpful and they have 24 hours reception. very big rooms, well decorated. a stunning building and a great courtyard for breakfast. loved it all.

Positive: Beautiful, clean, well decorated and all the staff are super welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is also amazing! To most travellers I would happily recommend this Dar.

Negative: If you are a solo female traveller, unfortunately I do not recommend this hotel. It’s located further in the Tunis Medina, I did not feel safe walking back alone at night. You have to walk 10 minutes to get out of the Medina to find a taxi.

Positive: Excellent, helpful and friendly staff. Due to an early departure on my last day, breakfast was prepared a little earlier, (usually from 7:30am). Excellently located by the medina. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Air conditioned rooms (upstairs). Selection of books in the common area to read.

Negative: Shared bathroom is a small inconvenience which I knew about before booking.
